Chapter 5: Taskforce

One year after.

The task force has been made that will spearhead the implementation of the Planet Earth Action Project (PEAP).  A task force meeting is going on at the liberty hall being chaired by Mshapa. Present at the meeting is the main implementers, Tole, Brian, Sofi, Pepo, Purity, Lucia, Mwasi, and Mwakio. All these have accepted to work towards achieving the PEAP project, they have accepted to be the brains of enactment. 

Tole is a well-known scientist and researcher, he has vast experience working in different parts of the world. Today he is sitting here as a head scientist who will be in charge of leading different scientific and research projects. Brian is a doctor, he has extensive experience and exposure in the medicine world. His being in this project is confounding and paramount, with the advent of diseases and viruses he will be at the forefront in providing proper advice and implementation of novel vaccines and medical solutions. 

Sofi, she is a darling teacher, very cute and single. Her zeal and mindset won her a seat on this taskforce board. She would implant knowledge to the people with an ideology that would enable change and progress within. Pepo is the topmost elder in Taita hills, he would pioneer onboarding and training of fighters, both men and women. He would serve as the general and a confidant in matters of war and security. His wisdom and enormous knowledge in leading the multitudes will be of great importance in implementing the PEAP project. 

Purity, who is an agriculture and livestock specialist, she is divorced but her competencies can not be ignored. She has served at different capacities as a policy enforcer in agriculture sectors both private and public. Lucia, on the other hand, a married woman with three children, two boys, and one girl. She is appointed on this task force as Ethics and Anticorruption frontierswoman. A vital docket would be used to fight corruption in mankind and eradicate it completely. 

PEAP projects must be embedded with a defined ideology that would be used to instigate the policies and pillars in support of the project. Mr. Mwasi as a specialist in Psychology and therapy was the right person to orchestrate the right ideology to change people’s thinking on different matters. Mwasi has worked as a psychotherapist for decades, his experience will prove important in the PEAP project. Mwakio also has secured a seat on this task force meeting as the industrialization and technology sector pioneer. Mwakio has been running a business in technology, which deals with telecoms. His knowledge and skill would help achieve the PEAP project. 

They are all seated here with only one mission in their hearts and minds, PEAP project. The goal of this project is to change how this planet operates things into fair and just methodologies. All these people will be instrumental in ensuring the success of this project. Today they are here, Mshapa chairing this meeting and they are to discuss different projects going on in achieving this worldwide project. Mshapa sat wholly, with confidence like a king in their throne. His name means someone big, not physically but in leadership, someone with powers, wisdom, riches, and skills to run and lead the people.

He sat there confidently and looked around the table and his mouth opened, producing an authoritative voice, “I am so glad today to have you sit here. We are here to check our progress reports on different projects we are contriving. Without further ado let us begin.” 

“Thank you, commander, with my committee we are still working out on how we can implement a vaccine that will be administered in order to fight against all viruses. One vaccine with a genetic formula to fight and neutralize all viruses all over the world. With this vaccine, we shall be ready to fight any viral pandemic coming to our planet.” Tole said.

“What is the probability of such a project to succeed? We don’t want to invest our time and resources on projects that are not viable.” 

“The project has a probability of 99% to succeed. I think my colleague Brian can add something about the project ”

“I would say the project is viable and workable, all we need to do is stick to the timestamps specified and we would have the vaccine as soon as possible. What we are dealing with here is a genetic vaccine that makes use of advances in immunology and molecular biology to more specifically tailor immune responses against all unwanted antigens. Our researchers are busy planning and researching further how we would implement a vaccine with a complex and flexible genetic formula that would be capable of fighting any novel virus outbreak.”

“I have intel that they may be a global pandemic caused by a vicious virus so we need our vaccine ready. Can you explain to us exactly how the vaccine would work?” Mshapa asked. 

“This vaccine would work by training the immune system to recognize and combat any novel pathogens, either viruses or bacteria. The vaccine would work by empowering the immune system to fight against any kind of pathogen. Apart from that, we have had some rumors from countries in America, that there is a company working on to run a program for depopulating this world using that said virus. The claims further state that their target is our beloved continent and our neighbors continent. We are yet to confirm this but we shall bring it on the table after our confirmation. Having this gene vaccine with us would be a wise move and we shall save many when the time comes. ”

“I see that would be a great peace of work. We need the vaccine as soon as possible so that we can protect mankind and shame our enemies. What about you, Purity, how is your pact working?”

“Thank you, I would like to bring to your attention that we have started sensitizing the people on the importance of eating a proper diet. We are creating awareness of the importance of agriculture and how it is the backbone of our economy. Though I am facing challenges, our local television and radio stations are rejecting anything from us because they claim we are against the government. Still, social platforms and our websites are proving helpful, the masses are engaging and agree in totality with our proposals and stipulations. The design of the food storage facility we proposed is well received and many want to implement such facilities to their homes. The fact that it can store food that can be consumed for two years is amazing to them, so far we have helped install five hundred of them. Yes, Lucia, you have something to say?”

“Yeah, thank you. I would kindly ask what type of food products or harvest would be stored for two years.”

“Nice question indeed, we have advised people to plant more of non-perishable food products like cereal grains like maize, beans, rice, peanuts, millet, sorghum, and wheat, we have some fruits which are non-perishable and tuber vegetables such as cassava and yams”

“What about vegetables, you mean during drought people won’t have vegetables?”

“There are ways actually where vegetables can be dried so that they can be kept for use at a later time. On the other hand, we are creating awareness among people to have a small garden outside their homes for those capable of fruits and vegetables. We are also encouraging large scale commercial farmers to invest in the same for supply in cities.” 

Mshapa looked impressed with what his team was doing.

“Thank you very much, keep the good work. The issue of the government stopping us will be sorted soon. We need to be the government and soon that will happen, Pepo our general, and I are working something out. Mwasi what do you have for us today?” 

“Well, my fellow comrades, as you are cognizant of my task, it is to orchestrate and instrument an ideology that would be instilled to all humans. To achieve this I need support from all sectors, and we have begun with the facile means of promulgating the ideologies using social platforms and websites we own. We are also using the production of music and movies, which has proven effective so far. So far people are responding and appreciating our school of thoughts, of mankind living a decent and truthful lifestyle. They also agree that corruption and selfishness have ruined our planet. I have also initiated a very interesting project called Victim of Guilt (VOG), which we are running in collaboration with our doctors and researchers. Our target with this project is to eliminate a******y, f*********n, i****t or simply we may say end all s****l pervasiveness and end all bad morals on our planet. I think Tole should explain the technical part.” 

“Okay, VOG deals with guilt which is a private experience caused by internal conflict about morality. So when your guilt is triggered, your body releases cortisol. Cortisol is a stress hormone designed to help you with the flight part of a fight-or-flight response (guilt). We have then created another hormone called acce-cortisol, which stands for accelerate cortisol hormone. Acce-cortisol hormone basically reacts with cortisol hormone to bring unrest and discomfort to your body. It will cause an unpleasant feeling that no human would like to experience, that feeling will lead to illnesses like nausea, skin reaction, and vomiting. These individuals, for them to heal they must confess the wrong deeds, earn forgiveness and they will be fine. Brian, would you like to add something?”

“Yeah, I would say these important brain chemicals like serotonin, endorphins, oxytocin, and dopamine are vital in determining how mankind will behave now and in the future. For example serotonin hormone brings happiness, a feeling of safety, calmness, happiness, and self-confidence when good things occur and cortisol hormone brings guilt when one commits wrong things, it's all about virtue, a high sense of responsibility and morality. This guilt is the greatest destroyer of emotional energy and leaves someone feeling immobilized by events which have occurred. We would like to take advantage of this feeling of guilt to teach mankind to have good manners.”

“Thank you very much for your feedback today. I think the rest of you will present your progress in our next meeting. Let us keep working hard and smart and we shall succeed. Thank you very much.”
