Chapter 8: Bulls Lock horns

At the presidents’ office.

President Yunus is seated in his office, going about his daily activities. He has not been a good president so far. He promised a lot, but nothing is there to be seen. Public funds have been embezzled by him and other leaders. Projects have begun and halted, cash has been eaten. The opposition leaders and individuals have been assassinated by him. His people killed Mshapa himself and he is alive again. Yunus is not happy; he is confused, how can people resurrect in these modern times? It is something unimaginable, only the people in Taita hills have managed to interweave traditional and modern cultures together. 

Mshapa and Pepo appear in the presidents’ office. Yunus is shocked and scared beyond measure, and he is sweating all over. He goes for a security button under his table and presses it. Immediately his security storms are fully armed. 

"Arrest these two people," he points at them. 

The head of security looks but sees nothing. He turns to the president "are you okay Mr. President?"

"I gave you an order to arrest these bastards,"  he replied. 

"I see no one Mr president," they sweep the office again but nothing they see. 

Mshapa said, "they will not see and hear us, tell them to go outside before we hurt them." 

"Who do you think you are, coming to my office and starting to give orders? I am the president of Kenya." 

Pepo walks to him and breaks one of his fingers, "you either do what we ask or I break all your fingers." 

Yunus screams and falls down on the floor out of too much pain. 

"Call the doctors, I think he is going insane and needs treatment, he has even broken one of his fingers," the head security shouted to his colleagues. 

"Do not call any doctors, just get out, all of you, and leave me alone, it is an order." 

"Are you sure you don’t need a doctor?" 

"Yes, get out right now." The security gets out and stands by the door outside. 

All this time Mshapa and Pepo were standing there comfortably with no fear at all. 

"You killed me, you know that?" 

"I did not kill you" 

"Do you want other fingers to be broken?" 

"Sorry, I had to, you were stopping me from running the country well." 

"So you mean stealing from the people is running the country?" 

"I really don’t know what you are saying." 

"Anyway, I am here because you kidn*pped my wife, how on earth does my wife come to this." 

"I will ensure she is dead after this because what you have done is treason and an attack against the state." 

"She is already back to the village, call your security at the chambers, and ask."

He picks the office phone and makes a call, "Hello, is the prisoner still there, if she is alive kill her." Mshapa and Pepo smiled, this made Yunus wonder, he thought by saying this he would scare them. 

The other end replied, "She was picked out by unknown people, we are trying to find where she went, and we have lost eight soldiers so far. They slit their throats with no mercy Mr. president. They must be a very dangerous group, we saw none of them." 

The president dropped the phone with anger and looked at his guests, "you will pay for this, I will make you pay painfully." 

"Now are you ready to talk with us?" 

"What do you want?" 

"Call your vice president, we need a serious meeting between four of us."

"I cannot involve my vice president in this issue, he is not aware of this operation." 

"We don’t care, we want him now, you are wasting our time. Do you think being a president you become some god or untouchable?. If you really wanted to be a great man you should have served this country genuinely." 

"What do you mean?" he looked shocked and scared at the same time. 

"We know a lot about you, you are selling our country to Chinese and you have committed many other vices in this country. Do you want us to spill the wheat among many hens? I do not think so, because you will end up being a dead man." 

He calls the vice president, "Are you in your office Salama?"  

"Yes Mr. president" 

"Come immediately to my office, we have an emergency to handle." 

At this moment the security was not understanding what was happening. They kept tight guard at the presidents’ door, ready to respond in case anything happened. Suddenly, the vice president, Mr. Salama arrived and was let inside the office. He was shocked to see Mshapa and Pepo in the office. 

"What are these criminals doing here, we need to arrest them immediately. You think you guys have the power to fight the system, you have nothing, we shall throw you into the chambers and bust your balls." 

Pepo stood and went where he was and grabbed his finger and broke it. He screamed loud out of pain. "What do you think you are doing bastard" the security men and ladies came in fast, "What is happening, what is going on, are you, okay sir" 

"No, I am not okay, arrest these two criminals immediately" 

"Where are the criminals?" 

"You mean you can’t see them, they are just standing in front of you" security looks around but sees nothing. They turn to the president who was just sitting calmly but in anger. 

"Go out, he is just messing with you, do not come in again until I give you a signal," the president said.

"What, are you serious, am hurt and you say I am just playing around." the vice president said, he is a big-headed man, always stubborn in everything.  

"Can I go for another finger." 

"No, no, no,  please" 

"Then shut up and listen carefully." He settles down but still in extreme pain. 

"We are both here, what do you want?" Yunus said. 

Mshapa gathered himself and said, "I am going to be direct with you guys, you need to step down both of you." 

"Just listen to yourself, are you mad, do you think we can just leave our leadership just like that.", Salama said 

President, "Why do you want us to leave, what have we done to make us resign." 

"You guys are not here legally, you rigged elections. You killed the ICT manager for the election system because you wanted access to the system, you altered the voting system results in your favor. When a petition was filed to access the servers you intimidated the judiciary and scared them, off the case. Someone’s husband died just because of your selfish interests. A wife and her children lack a father today just because you wanted to sit in this office. We have all the evidence of your dirty skim." 

"That is a fabricated story, actually it must be a fiction novel you read yesterday probably." Pepo walks to the president, grabs his hand tightly, Yunus says "don’t break my fingers please." 

Pepo swiftly breaks his second finger, and asks him, "Are you saying my boss is a deceiver, should I break more fingers?" 

"No, he is telling the truth, please don’t break my fingers" the president cried. 

Salama seeing this he screamed, "Security, help, help, help". Immediately four presidential men came in holding their guns ready to shoot. 

They did not see anyone apart from President, Mr. Yunus, and Vice president, Mr. Salama. The head security was annoyed with this madness and said "we need to move you to a secure place, it seems your office is compromised" he reached for his walkie in order to notify the rest but before he did that, Mshapa blew some bleached air at them from his mouth and they fall down unconsciously. They did not want to raise the alarm that they were there or the president was under duress, this would cause unnecessary panic for the country. 

"We want to undertake this meeting without hurting anyone. We just want you to listen to us. Just shut up and listen or else I will keep on breaking your fingers." Pepo told them. 

"Let us continue with our talk, Salama, you think being in power you become untouchable? Anyway, do you remember last year you r***d a university girl, made her pregnant, and forced her to undergo an abortion? What will it be like when your wife and children get this information. Last year you were paid money by a businessman to evacuate five thousand people from Kibera and Mathare slums. The businessman wanted to build apartments and you displaced all these Kenyans without giving them an option, women, children and their fathers slept outside in the cold." Mshapa paused to let what he said sink in their heads and continued. 

"Your government has allowed our country to be a dumping site where all counterfeit products are traded freely. Do you remember the Sugar you imported which had mercury particles in it? How can you allow your people to take sugar which has mercury particles? See how many people have succumbed to cancer since the arrival of this killer sugar. I can talk here for decades about the vices your government has committed. Here is the deal, in seven days you are going to resign and hand over powers to us. We have to do it peacefully and no one will bother you or your family. Okay." They both looked at Mshapa with eyes wide open as if they were not seeing him well. 

"Tell me you are just joking, what if we say no?" the president asked. 

"A lot of bad things will happen to you and anyone who will stop us." 

Salama laughed sarcastically "What bad things?"  

"We shall take you out of power by force." 

"How?" 

"That is none of your business. All your riches will be taken and become government property, your children will never be allowed to work as civil servants or even run their own businesses, we shall ensure they are poor forever due to your bad deeds. We shall take you, sycophants, in prison and it won’t be pleasant for you, I will ensure you sleep with rats. In seven days I will be back with my officials, whether you prepare for it or not it will happen. Thank you very much for your time"  he concluded. 

"Ensure you bandage your fingers with salt inside, they will heal fast, enjoy," Pepo said, his name means a spirit, and because he deals with punishing, people refer to him as the bad spirit. When punishing he does it with pleasure and happiness, it is as if pain for him brings pleasure and joy.

They disappeared and the president and his vice president were left there alone without saying a word. They felt as if they were in a nightmare that had just ended. 

At the village, Mshapa and Pepo reached home to find that Flora had been shot. This made Mshapa angry because the fighters never followed given instructions. Without a waste of time, he took Flora to the cave. It was at night and they had to use lamps which used electric charges. At the cave, Mshapa chanted and a basin appeared which had a concoction. Flora had to sit on it, they were just two, she came out of the basin with no wound. His husband kept saying sorry and Flora kept saying it is fine, I am okay. They started kissing and the basin disappeared and a heavenly bed appeared. They made love on that amazing bed, it was a spiritual match, the spirits enjoyed, and the lovebirds were happy in love.
