“Of course.” Eiji nodded, his posture relaxing slightly as her words brought ease to his discomfort. It was highly likely that more people would frequent the temple in this time of unrest. It was possible their presence was behind the disturbance he now felt. He glanced briefly to Daniel. The gnomes seemed to have been expecting them. There had been no need to navigate the caves into the depths where they had met before. Near the centre of the mountain, in a large open space where natural light trickled from small fractures above, stood a small collection of these beings, waiting patiently for their advance.
