Trinitys POV



We've been driving for a while now.

The pack lands within sight.

I look out my car window to see wolves running through the trees and my heart begins to ache, longing to be able to run free as well. A familiar voice cuts in.

We will be able to soon. My wolf Kiara says.

I hadn't realized till now how quiet she had been.

I didn't want to overwhelm you. She adds to help ease my confusion.

Thank you Kiara. I tell her grateful to have her.

Usually I'm the calm and she's the storm, but at this moment, I'm thankful the roles are reversed.

"Were here" My father says looking at me through the rearview mirror.

I give him a nod in understanding.

We pull up to the pack hospital. A team of nurses already waiting outside with a gurney ready to assist.

They rush Chloe inside, and I choose to follow behind them wanting to stay with her.

We pass by dozens of empty rooms before they finally reach a guarded section.

The guards nod and open the double doors allowing the nurses to enter, before blocking my path.

"Move out of my way!" I shout.

The guards stood there silently, not even acknowledging me.

I start to punch and hit them trying to squeeze my way through.

My father wraps his arms around me and pulls me away from the guards.

"What's going on?!" I yell at him.

"Calm down Trinity. It's just procedure". He tries to reassure me.

"Procedure my ass! Why won't they let me through? She's all alone in there with a bunch of strangers!" I cried, fresh tears stinging my eyes.

I started to become agitated. The lack of sleep getting to me and the fear for Chloe.

What if she wakes up and I'm not there?

She'll be so scared.

It's all new to her, she has no clue where she is.

Panic rushes through me and my heart begins to race,

I feel Kiara, start to take over.

"WE NEED TO SEDATE HER!" Someone shouts as my vision begins to cloud.

I feel a prick on my hip and my body starts to fall.

Just as I hear the word.

"Mate"

*Beep*

*Beep*

*Beep*

My eyes snap open, the harsh light burning them.

I start to look around taking in my surroundings.

Why was I in a hospital bed?

Kiara is silent again and I start to panic. The monitor starts beeping faster. *Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

I try to stand up and feel a tug on my arm, I look down to see an IV line attached to it.

Ripping it out, I stood up.

Memories of the guards and my father start flooding back in.

They had drugged me.

I go up to the door and peek my head out. Im not sure which hospital wing im in, but I need to find Chloe.

I look down the hallway and see my father talking to two men.

Taking the opportunity of them being distracted, I crept out of the room and start heading the opposite direction.

I get about twenty feet before I hear my father.

"Trinity?"

I start running, trying to navigate my way through the endless hall looking for the corridor that Chloe is in.

I hear feet hitting the ground hard. Someone was chasing after me and they were catching up fast.

Before I know it, im grabbed from behind, I elbow my attacker in the stomach and I hear a groan.

But they don't let go. Instead, their strong arms hold me tighter as sparks shoot through my body. I inhale sharply and the smell of pine fills my nostrils.

"Hello, Mate." The attacker says, his warm breath tickling the back of my neck, sending chills through my body.

I turn to look at him, my brown eyes meeting his green. I take in his features. He has messy short blonde hair, and a chiseled jaw line. He's looking at me with the cockiest grin I have ever seen.

I push him away from me and he frowns slightly.

"Are you okay, Mate?" He asks.

"Stop saying that." I uttered with annoyance.

"Stop saying wha-" He started to ask

"STOP SAYING MATE!" I yelled. He took a step back, upset by my sudden outburst.

"You aren't my mate... My wolf would have told me" I muttered.

He turns his head in thought.

"Have you heard from your wolf since you woke up?"He asks.

My eyes widened in shock. How did he know?

He nods his head in understanding.

"They gave you a heavy dose of wolfsbane to sedate you..... your wolf won't be up for at least another hour." He explains.

He leans in and whispers in my ear.

"Come find me when she does wake up. I'm sure once she's back, we will both be in for a nice surprise." He pulls away and gives me a wink before walking down the hall.

He stops for a moment and turns back towards me.

"Your friend is in recovery room 103.... see you soon Mate." He teased.

I stand there for a moment, shocked by the events that played out.

Kiara needs to wake up, fast.

I shake myself out of my daze and head to her room. Luckily, there are no longer guards around her and im able to enter.

Shes hooked up to several machines, but it looks like her color has returned. I sit down next to her and hold her hand.

Several minutes pass, before anyone enters the room.

The doctor walks in followed by my father.

My father doesn't say anything, he just allows the doctor to explain all they did to help Chloe.

Once the doctor leaves the room, he speaks to me.

"Lets go home, give you a chance to shower and relax."

"I want to be here when she wakes up" I tell him, still holding on to Chloe's hand.

"They have her sedated right now to allow her time to heal. They'll wake her up in the morning. I can bring you back then." He says.

I let out a deep sigh and nodded my head.

"I'll see you soon, Chloe."
