Elsa figured out that her present environment was different from what it was when she had closed her eyes earlier. "Elsa"? The voice called out again from afar, but Elsa was still busy trying to wrap her head around the whole situation as her eyes darted in all directions. With terror in her eyes, she looked around thinking that the werewolves might still be around to attack her again but when she looked around, there was no trace of a werewolf invasion and it puzzled her the more. "What's happening to me,?" Elsa asked herself while breathing hard and fast as she was quickly scanning everything around. Elsa felt something soft under her, she looked down, expecting to see the grasses she fell on, but they have been replaced with a fluffy bed and the tree branches that twitched while she was falling had also turned into a thick blanket covering half of her body. Still in shock as to how things had changed interestingly, the sharp rays of the rising morning sun stole their way through the window, drawing her attention as she now realized she was inside a well-decorated room, a place she fully recognized. Her bedroom. Elsa held her head down, feeling tired and bitter as the images of her family struggling to survive was still fresh in her mind. She raised her head again to be sure that she wasn't hallucinating and she confirmed that she was back in reality. While she was still recollecting her mind, she heard another sound, she followed where it was coming from and of course, it was coming from the door, she wanted to hold on for a while before answering the door, but the voice that called out to her next made it impossible for her to sit back and listen. It was a masculine voice and one she knows too well. The voice of Kelki, the alpha of the brown claws of Segrus, her father. Elsa hurriedly stepped out of bed and headed for the closed door. She opened the latch and swung the door open, only for her to be met with the worried gazes of her maid and her dad, both motionless as they scanned her from head to toe checking to see if something had happened to her. Elsa felt delighted as she saw her dad alive, she ran forward with emotion and hugged him tightly like she had never done before. Her dad was startled by her reaction, not sure what else to do, he just wrapped his arm around her slowly too. Elsa held onto her dad, not wanting to let go at the doorway, when Kelki realized she wasn't going to let go anytime soon, he decided to say something first. He clears his throat and picked his words delicately. "Elsa, I think we need to go inside, you've got to tell me how you feel". Kelki said still holding on to her but hoping that she would loosen up from the hug and get back inside. Elsa didn't feel like letting go but when she saw how her maid was looking at her, she felt embarrassed and decided to untangle from her father, at least, she now knew that it was just a nightmare because in reality, her family were fine but she still couldn't believe how accurate and real it was for her. She followed her father's lead into her bedroom as he held onto her hand while she strolled along, with her maid just few steps behind them, but Kelki turned back and spoke to the maid. "Give us some privacy" he ordered, the maid bowed to him and left the room, shutting the door behind her. Once Kelki has confirmed that she has left, he turned his attention towards Elsa who was seated at the edge of the soft bed. The alpha went up close to her, still holding onto her left hand, squatted while looking into her eyes hoping to find answers even before asking Elsa but it was of no use, so he opted for plan B. Kelki noticed that Elsa looked scared but she was trying really hard to hide it, so he tried to coax her to speak about what could be bothering her mind. "Elsa, you look startled, what bothers you? The moment Kelki said those words, Elsa conceded to defeat as she realized that her father had already seen through her as her best effort to hide her emotions wasn't enough, but she decided to try one more time. " Dad...uhm..it's.. it's nothing serious" she stuttered, scratching her head and avoiding eye contact with Kelki not to give herself away. "Really?, am sorry, Elsa, but am not buying that, why don't you convince me enough?" Kelki pushed hard as he noticed she was hiding something from him. Elsa felt a butterflies in her stomach when kelki didn't take her words as gospel, her little antics fell through, so she decided to mislead her father. "well....i just told you that am good, don't you believe me anymore"? She shrugged and feigned Innocence, while trying to steady her gaze on kelki's. For a second, Kelki wanted to believe her until he recalled what the maid told him when she came to his palace that morning, so he used it against her. "Then why were you not answering your door when she knocked?". Kelki inquired from her as he observed her reaction. The question took Elsa by surprise and she couldn't hide it before her father. "Knock on the door?, I don't think I heard her knocking, there was so much noise, dad"! Elsa replied to him, but when it sank in, she regretted ever saying those words without thinking. "Did you just say there was so much noise?.... would you be so kind to let me know what made such noises that can only be heard by you in the entire palace?" Kelki pushed and he could see the regret on Elsa's face as she realized she tipped him off without intention, so Kelki pressed on with the lead she gave him. "I presume you heard her knocking which explains the noises you heard but if that's not what I think it is, then am all ears dear" Kelki said, giving her options to fall back to, but Elsa used it to her advantage instead. "Well, uhm.... I guess you're right about the noises, I must have been dreaming or something" Elsa replied. "How about you tell me what you saw that frightened you in your dream?" Kelki nailed it to her. Elsa was surprised as to how her father noticed that she was frightened few minutes ago, but it didn't stop her from denying. "frightened?, When did I ever say I was?" She muttered, trying to sound genuine. "Elsa, you might not know this, but your face says so much of what you feel inside, and with what the maid said about you, I think you got scared about something". Kelki shot back. "You now believe what the maid tells you over mine, huh?, That's ridiculous, dad"!. Elsa said, sounding angry, so Kelki decided to cut the show short. "That's not the point Elsa, it's just that you kept screaming and crying while you were fast asleep, she knocked on your door several times, and when you wouldn't answer the door, she called my attention" At this moment, Elsa figured out that the noises she made while dreaming was actually heard out here in reality. "Dad, am sorry for causing you so much trouble this early" she apologized. "Never mind, Elsa, it's just that you had us worried" Kelki said and Elsa could feel the genuity in his voice and it reminded her of how much love Kelki has for the family and pack, which made him the great leader that's loved by all. She wanted to open up about her nightmare, but she really doesn't know how to narrate the horrors she witnessed in her dream to her dad as the thought of saying it alone was making her mind skip with terror, so she just decided to keep it to herself and let it be what its actually was. Just a nightmare. Kelki could see how Elsa was fighting with herself about something he has no idea about, so he decided to get into her head. "Are you alright Elsa, it seems like your mind is divided over something!" Kelki said, snapping Elsa out of her thoughts. His precision caught Elsa by surprise as she jolted back to reality and immediately faked a smile on her face. "Oh dad, it's nothing, am just a bit stressed out after such a horrible"!......... her words trailed and her heart skipped as she already gave herself out and she knew Kelki would take no prisoners as he would come at her with the smallest tips he can get and as if he already read her mind, he chimed in almost immediately. "Horrible nightmare you mean?" Kelki questioned Elsa with a knowing tone as he fixed his gaze on her. "Yeah dad, it's been decades since I last had a nightmare this scary"! Elsa confessed. "I see, but was it that scary enough to break you up this bad?" Kelki pushed wanting to know more. "It really got me dad, it felt too real for a mere nightmare"! Elsa said sounding a bit relieved as she began opening up. "It's okay dear, it might just be a sign of maturity as you would soon become an adult"! Kelki muttered, trying to calm her nerves, but it took a wrong turn. "Is that so?, Would i experience more of it as I get older? Elsa asked with naivety. "Uhm,...probably"! Kelki replied not too sure if his reply was giving. "Oh no dad!.....I don't think I would want to be an adult with such conditions attached"! Elsa erupted and that was when kelki realized that his answer wasn't the best, so he tried to turn the table around. "Listen, Elsa, I don't know what you actually saw in your nightmare, but am sure that whatever it is, wasn't real and it's never gonna happen, not now, not ever!" Kelki said with boldness and authority. Elsa was confused on whether to believe him or not even though she had no option. "Exactly dad, it was only inside my head and nothing more!" She said trying to make her dad's effort of calming her down come to fruition and it worked perfectly. "That's logical if you ask me!" Kelki said with a smile of victory on his lips as he felt that he had succeeded in his task of comforting her. " I already figured that out myself dad, thanks to you"! Elsa replied while appreciating her dad. "C'mon, you need not mention that, save your thanks for the maid's quick thinking"! Kelki replied with ease. "Definitely, I will do just that "! Elsa responded as her father's humility melts her heart but before she could relish his humble side, his curiosity came knocking on her door. "But I've never seen you this scared before and it has actually gotten me kinda curious as to what you saw!" Kelki said with his curiosity getting the better of him. Elsa didn't see this coming, but she knew one thing for sure, she wasn't ready to tell Kelki the horrible details of her nightmare, so she improvised out of nowhere. "Dogs!" Elsa said weirdly. "Dogs?, What about them?" Kelki replied looking confused and puzzled. Elsa was left stranded and she had no option than to build on what she had just said. "Well, you might not know but am scared of dogs and in my nightmare, I was being chased by a lot of them!" Elsa rounded up her tall tale, hoping that her dad buys it. Kelki was sure within him that he was just finding out about her fear for dogs for the first time and he assumed it was a new phobia she must have developed while growing up. " And they didn't say why they were after you?" Kelki asked looking serious. Elsa was surprised to see that her father believed her story and was even taking it seriously. "Nope, they just came at me without saying a word!" Elsa played along, not sure where it's going to lead. "Alright, I wasn't there with you in your dream, but am sure I felt the dogs pain!" Kelki said sarcastically and took Elsa by surprise. " Wait, what did you just say?" Elsa asked, sounding confused. Kelki saw that she was falling for his moves, so he went on. " I said I really felt for them back there, and I would have done the same thing they did in chasing you"! Kelki replied with disgust. Elsa wasn't following along as she thinks her dad was becoming more serious and she regretted ever coming through this route. " But dad, I didn't harm them, they just came after me"! Elsa said. " Oh, you did more harm than you could have imagined, but you had no idea"! Kelki defended back.
