Days had passed since the incident in the clearing. And it had become clear that Dawn was avoiding me. I’d see her glancing my way before turning and disappearing into another hallway or ducking into a room. It frustrated me. I thought we were getting somewhere and yet all I’ve been getting was rejection after rejection. If it wasn’t for that vision, I would be sure she would have rejected me. Today was no different.
