Lee and I went to the arcade to have our bestie day and we had just finished playing what felt like 10 rounds of Be Together on DDR when we finally decided to sit down and get something to eat and drink. Lee had just taken off when someone sits next to me and says "hey remember me I am Tristan." I smile and say "hey Tristan I am Elle." I look up at Lee and see Rachel talking to him and Laugh. Tristan looks at Lee and Rachel and see's them kiss and he puts his hand on my arm and says "I am so sorry that must suck." I look at him and raise an eyebrow and when he glances at Lee I burst out laughing. He looks at me like I have grown two head and I say "sorry that is my best friend and the girl with him is his girlfriend Rachel." He smiles "oh, thank goodness I was worried that here you are on a date and he was cheating on you." "ah, hell no me and Lee that is just gross." All of a sudden I hear "has someone else mistaken our bestie day as a date twin." "Yeah, just so gross." Rachel chuckles "well you two do sometimes act like a couple." "Only, when we don't want anyone hitting on us babe" Lee replies. As Lee and Rachel put down the food and drinks I look at Lee and he looks at me I glance at Tristan and he does to. While we keep doing this I hear Rachel "OK what is going on right now these two besties are trying to decided if they are going to explain there relationship and nickname. Also they are deciding how much to tell you." He laughs "ok so you can read there minds." "Nope, not the first time they have this convo." I turn to Tristan and say "OK here goes. Lee and my mother were best friends...so because of that we call each other twin." He looks at me and shakes his head. "So really the same day and the same time." "Yep, same day same time kind of weird." We stayed there talking for a while and he eventually asks me out and I agree. We exchange numbers and at that point Lee looks at me and raises his eyebrow at me. I smile and say "Oh, I told him last night we are not exclusive yet and I might still date other guys and I might even accept a date from Duncan." Lee says "ahh, OK just be careful twin don't want you to get hurt again." Tristan looks at me and asks "Do you have a boyfriend or something." "well or something. It is my ex-boyfriend Lee's brother we broke up because he screwed up and he wants me back I am making him work for it but I told him I was still going to date and see what's out there. I hope you don't mind." "not at all. As long as I have a chance. So, tonight at 8" "sounds good and yes you do have a chance." I text him my address and Lee, Rachel and I all head home.
Tristan picked me up right on time and I was wearing a pair of boot cut jeans, some cowboy boots, and a button-down shirt. Tristan looks me up and down says "nice your a cowgirl." I laugh "nope, just a leftover outfit from a guy I used to date he bought it for me." "ah, your ex" "well technically Adam and I were never official." "Ah, ok shall we go." He leads me out to the car and we climb in. When we get to the restaurant he opens the car door for me and even pulls out my chair. After ordering our drinks and food I ordered Chicken Parmasian and a sweet tea, he ordered the Chicken Primavera and a coke. We started to talk. He told me he was in college and was studying Electromagnetic Engineering. When our food came he told me he was attending Harvard. I didn't think anything of it because seriously what are the chances of him knowing Noah. After telling him I was going to Harvard as well in the fall he was excited and said that would be great because if this worked out we could continue seeing each other. I looked at him and said, "yeah, true because long distance can be hard that is what made me and my ex Noah break up." I hear a ping on my phone and look down and see a message from Lee "hey come over after" "ok, I will promise." "You spending the night or not." "Yeah, I will don't worry me and Noah have an understanding." "OK love you twin." "love you too twin" I mentioned to Tristan about going to Lee's to swim but he refused said he was too tired and needed to go home. I told him that Lee lived on the same street as me and then told him where to stop. When we pulled up he asked, "don't you need clothes thought you were going swimming." "Oh, yeah and spending the night but I have about four different suits here and at least two changes of clothes not to mention three pajama outfits." "Oh, you are spending the night with your ex-boyfriend." "No, I am spending the night with my best friend." As I am getting out all of a sudden I hear "What the f**k are you doing here?" I turn and look at Noah and notice him staring at Tristan. I touch Noah's arm because he looks ready to kill "Hey Noah, what's wrong." "Shelly, this was the first string quarterback for our team until I took his spot." I turn and look at Tristan "did you know who I was." "Well, yeah Flynn talked about you all the time plus there are pictures of you all over his social media." "so, in other words, you asked me out to get to Noah." "Well, not exactly..." "you know what lose my number and get out." "come on I didn't even get a goodnight kiss." I laugh as I feel Noah tense up next to me. "who said you were even getting one. Now leave before I put all over social media how you used me to get back at Noah." "I seriously doubt you would." I yell "hey twin you out there" "yep what do ya need" "you know, do it." "ok." All of a sudden his phone pings and he looks at me "this is going to ruin me at school." I look at him "not my problem." With that, he drove off. Noah looks at me and pulls me against him "Shelly I never meant for this to happen." I look up at him and say "I know Noah, don't worry about it this not against you." "Good because I really am planning on winning you back. I love you." With that said he didn't give me a chance to move before he slammed his mouth on mind giving me a kiss that left me breathless. As he walked away I saw it did the same to him but I also saw that smirk that told me he knew he was winning.
