In a rare stroke of good luck, the rain fell mild over the course of their trip, and no one else seemed to have traversed these roads in months. Though their early clues relied on campsite garbage and eyewitness reports, they now followed tire tracks. At a crossroads, the couple realized they weren’t the only ones interested.
