Excalibur Returns

Storming into the comics store, Cyrus headed straight to the adventure section, he squeaked in joy knowing that different new comics have been added to the shelf. He started filling them up in his backpack, zipping his backpack closed and getting ready to go meet his mum, a particular comic caught his eye. "The sword in the stone, hmm interesting" he mumbled to himself.  He ran to the store owner at the entrance with the comic in his hands.  "Mr. Carlos, where is this comic from and who wrote it, I don't remember subscribing to it?" Cyrus asked with curiosity.  "Actually it is one of it's kind my boy, you are the lucky one to find it, and guess what? it's free" Carlos said with a knowing smile.  "Thank you sir, I will cherish it and keep it safe" Cyrus said holding the comic to his chest with a charming smile on his face.  "Bye sir, see you next week!" Cyrus ran out of the store at the sight at his mum's car.  "Seriously Cyrus, when are you going to grow up, how is it that a normal blackboy at the age of 16 still reads comics?"  Carly asked her son with a concerned look on her face.  "Mum, saying comics are for kids, it's just like saying anime are for children and we both know that ain't true" Cyrus replied his mum with a smirk.  "I am just glad about one thing Cyrus, that you are the smartest kid alive right now, I am proud of you son, whatever you are doing that has modified your brain, keep doing it, I see a great future ahead of you" she said in an honest tone and pecked Cyrus on the cheek. "Thanks mum" Cyrus muttered.  Carly dropped him off at home and drove back to work. He decided to invite his friends over for a sleepover since it's a weekend with permission from both his mum and dad.  He emailed them and they all responded with a yes. He fixed his room, game room, the basement, ordered food and picked out movies.  Exactly 7pm, the doorbell rang signifying that they were here already. Cyrus sprinted through the stairs and opened the door, all 5 of his friends tackled him on the ground. "Guys small human down here" Cyrus squeaked and they all got up from him. James, Alicia, Demi, Liam, Lucas, Welcome to Sleep Over 5.0, Cyrus grinned. "Can we start already?" Demi asked with anxiousness written all over her. "Yeah sure, follow my lead" Cyrus said as he lead them up to the basement, 6 bed bags were situated on the floor, comics, pizza, burgers, fries, popcorn, coffee and smoothies were positioned beside each bed. A big 3D screen was set up with mini speakers. "Wow, Cyrus did you mutate at night, you actually prepared, I am so shocked right now, I could die" Alicia said. "If you wanna die, not it in the house, do it outside" Liam pointed at the door. "I am beginning to think Liam is in love with Piper" Lucas chuckled. "Oh please! If Piper Hart was real, he wouldn't stand a chance, she will literally rip him apart, and when I mean rip him apart, not his heart, like literally rip him in halves" James said as he laid down on the bed bag that had his name on it. "I get it, I get it, no need to emphasize about it, I just think she is really cool" Liam mumbled. "Who is Piper?" Demi and Cyrus asked out of the blue at the same time while sipping from their smoothie. The other 4 turned to their direction with shock on their faces. "Wait a sec, why am I even surprised, I mean it is Cyrus and again, it is Demi, the comic and anime freaks, if they were payed everyday for the number of comics and anime they watched in a day, they will be sued to jail for being rich" Alicia said while chuckling. "That reminds me, you all need to read the comics beside your beds, I swear you will enjoy it" Cyrus jumped up facing them with some comics in his hands. "Ok Mr. Comico" Lucas said with vibrant sarcasm in his voice. "Movies please!!!" James screamed. "Okay, we are going to start with uhmm Army of the Dead, the new horror movie on Netflix now" Cyrus smirked. "Ohhh spicy" Demi rubbed her hands together. Cyrus handed them all 3D glasses, he turned on the screen and set the movie to begin, he went ahead to sit leaning his back on the bed as well as others. 5 minutes into the movie, Liam screamed. "Come on Liam, they don't even know what is in the payload, don't be such a baby" James teased him. "It is definitely a zombie, just wait and see, I mean look at the title and then the army, it is so obvious" Liam explained. "Shut your smart mouth up" James yelled. Just when the zombie jumped out of the payload and attacked the soldier in front of it, Liam flew on his bed and went into his covers, his pop corn was scattered everywhere.  "I knew it" he screamed from under the covers, the other 5 just chuckled and continued watching. When the movie was over, they were all talking about their favorite scenes apart from Liam who was still under the covers. "Is it over?" Liam peeped through the covers. "You can come out now you big baby, we 'bout to pounce on our pizzas." Liam came and joined them on the floor to eat. "So who believes in zombies?" Demi asked. "I just believe some dumbass artist sat and imagined a human like lion, I mean cannibals exist but what the hell is a human doing eating another human just because a human who was oddly created who knows with some chemical experiments eats human and turns them to be like him, it doesn't adds up " James explained. "I agree with James" Alicia nodded approvingly. "I don't even want to imagine them existing, what will be more worse than corona virus?" Liam said. "Humanity won't survive it, plus as Liam mentioned earlier, whenever an animal feast on a human, they don't turn into lions so zombies are pointless, vampires are more cool but I don't believe in them either" Lucas added. "You guys have said it all" Demi said. "Hey bro, Cyrus what about you, do you believe in zombies?" Lucas asked, the others turned to him waiting for a reply. "Uhhh to be honest, I believe that every creature I have ever read, or seen in movie exists, humans are really smart with crazy imaginations but imaginations are triggered by what we see and then put into writing whatever we see, in fact my dear friends, I believe zombies, vampires, dragons, unicorns, werewolves, including centaurs, I believe they all exist, Merlin, Camelot, Arthur, Kilgharrah, Morgana, Sword in the stone, I believe this were not just legends, they were real" Cyrus said proudly. "Ptff " Lucas scoffed. "You are such a weirdo" Alicia added. "You have issues bro, so much for loving a character that actually exists" Liam sarcastically said looking at Lucas. "I am not saying anything about this, I still stand with my statement" James said. "Well I am, Cyrus, I know how we are together in the comic and anime stuff but it has changed your thinking dude, open your eyes this is real life, not a book, not a comic and definitely not an anime, don't go saying this outside if not you will find yourself locked up in a retard home, Cyrus I love you as this brother I never had, and so do the rest, with all due respect and no offence in whatever I am going to say next but Cyrus, Myths are just Myths, nothing more, nothing less." Demi breathed out, everyone was shocked at her outburst especially when it is actually from her who had everything in common with Cyrus.  The all looked at Cyrus waiting for him to say something. Cyrus sighed, "You are right Demi, Myths are just Myths".
