seeking

Just another day My alarm rang at six thirty in the morning pulling me out of a dream i wish i could stay in. I reached for my phone as i usually do to silence that annoying sound and buried my face beneath my pillow. five more minutes, l told myself. Of course five more minutes turned into twenty before i knew it another ten minutes passed. I jolted awake ''i am going to be late again,'' i muttered to myself, throwing the blanket away. It was a normal morning, sunlight slipped through my curtains, birds chirped outside my window, and somewhere in the house i could hear a slowly breeze what a perfect morning in my imperfect life. I hurried through my morning routine, brushed my teeth, showered then comes my entangled long,silk hair i gently brushed trying so hard not pull it out and i stared myself in the mirror trying to decide whether i looked tired or simply uninterested in being awake. An ordinary girl, an ordinary morning and ordinary life. I smiled at my reflection trying to cheer myself up then grabbed my bag and headed downstairs. I had no idea that, before the day was over, i would begin questioning things i had never thought to question before. My house was quite like no one lived there, i walked to the kitchen trying to make myself something to eat before i starts my shift at ''O'neil kitchen'' i love this place it feels like home more than my house feels. I always struggle to cook so i grabbed the leftover pizza and boiled water to make myself some tea. Suddenly my phone ringtone startled me guess who is calling ''My boss" i picked it up immediately " sorry boss, i am on my way" then i grabbed the pizza and run out of my house. Just a few steps away from my house i remembered i left the stove on so i run back and turned it off and went running in that moment i wished i could fly. As i walked past an old lady she called out to me " Sereia" i tilted my head a little turns out it's Mrs Jones. she is an old lady that lives next to me alone just like me. I waved not wanting to stop and shouted " have a nice day Mrs Jones". After running that's felt like forever, i reached O'neil kitchen it looked busy as always . I spotted my boss a few feets away not wanting to be scolded infront of everyone i stepped back and used the backdoor. I changed into my uniform quickly then started serving people and i always blends in so perfectly that sometimes it felt unreal but i loved it so much giving people joy and seeing them happy always melts my heart with joy. After the busy hours, It was almost 6pm my favorite hour of the day, the hour that i use to express myself karaoke time. Yes that's right, everyone gets turns to sing and everybody there loved my turn they say my voice is angelic it sounds so amazing that many cries. I went on the stage took a deep breath and let my body, my soul be carried a way by music. I closed my eyes and let myself sink into the melody slow and also heart warming i don't know how long it took me to finish but when i opened my eyes everywhere was quite and i can tell love was filled in the air. Through the crowd i saw a face that haunts me, a face that i wish to forget. In that moment i froze and the microphone found it's way out of my hand before i can do anything the world turned black.
