Looking into my mates' eyes right this second breaks my heart. I have hurt her. There are only a few things I can’t stand in life. One of them being Mika in pain. Especially when I caused it. But with all these people around I don’t want to make a scene. I could, but she’s looking at me like she will kill me if I say anything else. I tried though. I tried to make her hear me.
“What did you do to mess it up already?” Logan asks me in a hushed tone as we follow Mika toward a weirdly shaped cabin. It’s crooked and painted in a dark shade of red. Green Ivy grows on the façade, covering the entire side of the building. Next to it is a little stable with two sheep and a couple of chickens.
