He started to wave goodbye and just like that he was gone. I sat there for a little while longer just staring at the spot he had occupied. A fireplace crackled at the other end of the room, drawing me out of my thoughts as I was beginning to dwell on the situation at hand. This was a problem for another day, a day where I was more rested and ready to take on the world. I stood up and walked across the room to stand in front of the fireplace. There were two oversized chairs there and they looked to be very comfortable. Taking a seat in one, I found my body sinking into the plush cushion and enjoyed the faux warmth coming from the fire.
