Chapter 11Conri watched as Nick grew more and more agitated, and he didn’t know why. There was a risk someone would find them here but waiting a few minutes for clothes was better than running out in a hospital gown.
Right as he was about to argue his point yet again, someone whistled outside. Conri opened the door and spotted Jared close to the entrance to the ICU. He waved a hand, and Jared hurried over.
“Didn’t want to open the doors.”
“Good job.” He clapped Jared’s shoulder in an encouraging gesture. “Nick.” He turned only to find Nick off the bed again. It made him frown. He hadn’t been this jumpy in the club, and there had been far more people there.
He took the change of clothes from Jared and placed them on the bed. “Get dressed.”
