Chapter 10The glass doors of the hospital slid open, and Conri stepped in with determined steps. The woman behind the desk blanched at the sight of him, but he didn’t care.
“I’m here to see Hilda Raven. She came in with an ambulance not too long ago.”
The woman tapped on the keyboard, her gaze jumping from Conri to the screen and back again. “She’s in surgery.”
“There was a man with her.”
When she didn’t reply he wanted to snarl.
“Nicholas…erm…” What the hell was his surname? Equirax was a middle name. He should’ve checked what he stood listed as. When he’d asked his entire name he wanted his witch name, and he’d gotten it, but what was…“Adore?” When it spilled out of his mouth, he nodded to himself—it was Adore.
