ANGƐL OF DEATH
EPISODE 1
DEATH UPON THE WORLD
It was a bright and clear day,but to Lilly, it was just another day to take another insignificant human to the land of death.
she stands by the roadside watching as people are going on with their life ,"in 3...2...1...bam" came the sound of two cars crashing into each other, gaps erupted from the mouth of passersby, woman 1"oh my God what was that",man1 "someone please call 911 now"he shouted running towards the scene of the accident.
On the other side, Lilly stood under the light lamp watching the whole thing with a smile plastered on her face, she moves closer to the victims of the crash, her gaze fixed on a young man who is bleeding from the head she can't help but notice that he is quite handsome, even in his injured state.
"I can't believe in all other victims you are the only one lady luck choose to avoid," she squat I front of him whispering those words into his ears.
"Well, let's get this over with. You have 3 minutes before your time elapses any last word, but please don't beg me to spare your life."
"Who are you?" he whispered,"woah,
wrong choice of word but,I'm the Angel of death, yeah I know I'm too pretty but it's better to see this beauty before your last day on earth than to see some ugly old hag, believe me you will be terrified"
she looked down at her wrist only one more minute remaining, she stood up walking away from the scene "Please don't go,please..please I don't want to die"he cried in despair, she turned slowly to him smiling "I'll see you on the other side"
The ambulance sped through the streets, sirens blaring, but it was too late he died already.
Lilly couldn't help but smile at the turn of the event." he is gone.. to bad. "
She was used to death, but there was something about this particular event that felt utterly satisfying. She chucked, shaking her head in slight amusement as a new timer appeared on her wrist. "Bingo!! my next target, "she said in amusement and excitement, written all over her face..
she appeared in a house of an elite young lady, she took in the beauty of the place, the vintage design, the beautiful art collections everything was mesmerising in the eyes of Lilly.
she was still taking in the beauty when Hazel bumped into her. "Ouch," she mouthed.
"Who are you? Are you part of him? Why do you want to kill me?" she bumbered Lilly with questions,as she fell on her knees pleading with Lilly not to kill her,"Argh, which question should I answer first",she shook her head in amusement
" Please save me,I beg you, I didn't do anything, please," Hazel's cry filled the room.
Lilly could only play deaf ear,she looked around the room as she sat down,"I'm not your enemy here,I'm just here to take you to somewhere,so don't hate me rather hate the one with the knife"with her last word the man brust into the room holding a knife "I'm gonna kill you, you dirty b***h".
the scene was brutal,Lilly stood looking at the lifeless body of Hazel
"I'm so sorry,I just had to do my job."
with that, she left the house.
She began walking, her footsteps making no sound on the pavement. As always, she was alone, unnoticed by the world,a reaper through the darkness.
As she walked, she began to hum a little tune to herself,a slight smirk on her lips."Who's next, I wonder...", she continued walking, she couldn't help but consider the possibilities, the city was filled with potential victims, and she could feel a tingling of anticipation, as a new timer appeared on her wrist "booyah got you".
with a blink of an eye she saw herself at the hospital.she gazed around admiring the view " ahh my favourite place".
Her next victim is a baby, she couldn't hide the excitement from her face, she was happy because no one would beg her to spare their life, she approached the delivery room, she leaned against wall, arms crossed,as she watched the expectant mother in the delivery room. Her expression was a mix of amusement and anticipation.
"Patience, patience," she whispered to herself ,"the little one will be here soon."
Lilly stood watching it all unfold with a detached kind of interest.She knew the baby's time was running out,but she seemed almost amused by the mother's struggle."In 3...2...1...".the baby was born, and she walked over to the baby;
*hello" she held the little bundle in her arms her demeanor almost tender as she held the life less infant, she turned her gaze to the mother ;"too bad you can't hold your baby".
The doctor confirmed the baby's death , and the mother screams echoed through the hospital hallway,Lilly just kept walking, ignoring the screams behind.
Lilly wasn't walking away with the baby's soul but also with the soul of different people.
She walked into her home, the familiar walls and furnishings greeting her with their cold silence. The events of the night were still on her mind, she pushed them aside, focusing on the mundane reality of her home. The human world...it was all so small, so temporary. she had seen the rise and fall of countless empires, the birth and death of entire civilizations. The lives of these mortals were as fleeting as a blink into the eyes of eternity.
She sank down onto a chair, a rare moment of reflection overwhelming her.It was almost the same, wasn't it ? The cycle of life and death, the endless march of time. Each life was so insignificant, so short in comparison.
she had been alive for thousands of years, watching as an entire races rose and fell,as empires and civilizations crumbled to dust. And still, those fragile humans never learned. They repeated the same mistakes, again and again. It was tiring to watch...
She sat in silence, her eyes roaming over the room. The silence was almost overwhelming, broken only by the steady ticking clock on the wall.Tick ,tock,tick,tock...It seemed to mock her,a reminder of the relentless march of time.
She had seen so many lives come and go,but her own existence was so unchanging as the ticking of clock.she wad outside the cycle,an outsider looking in.
At that moment, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of loneliness.she stood up and walked to the window staring at the night sky.
Moonlight filtered in through the glass, casting earie shadows in the room. The world outside was still silent,as if night itself was holding breath.
She felt a profound sense of isolation, a loneliness that seemed to sank into her bones. She had no feelings, friends, no family, no one to share her thoughts and experiences with clearing her throat she stood up from her chair "I shouldn't have such thought in my mind no more" she took a glass of warm milk and drank " I don't even know why I'm drinking this, when everything tastes the same to me " she sighed, her breath visible in the cold air.
The loneliness welled up inside her, an ache that seemed impossible to soothe .
She tried to push the feeling aside like always, but tonight, it was almost impossible to ignore .
She closed her eyes, leaning her forehead against the cool glass of the window.
Alone... always alone, she felt the weight of her solitude pressing down on her, almost suffocating her.
