4. 19-Year-Old Knight POV
GET YOUR f*****g HANDS OFF OF HER... My heart is pounding in my chest from seeing my father's hands on the only bit of happiness I have in my life right now. I cant let him ruin her. I just cant. This is the exact reason I knew I shouldn't have got close to her, the reason we couldn't be together. Hearing the sorrowful wails coming from her, it sounded so inhuman. I knew then this would be the last time I'd get to see her as much as i love her and need her theres no going back after what my father had done to her. Like he does to everything he touches.
Nice of you to finally join the party, son, always fashionably late. You get that from your mother. My father smiles. I mean really smiles, like he just won the Superbowl and my stomach turns in the worst way possible. It's sickening, but he just continues talking completely normal.
Now that you've heard, we've got about 3 minutes until the rest of these mutts come running over here after feeling the death of their leaders, so you have a choice to make here son.
I hear the howls of the pack warriors coming towards us mixed in with the cries of Angel. I look at my father in absolute horror. I hate him. Pure raw hatred flows through me. I feel my eyes changing to that milky white and those shimmery silver strips trying not to lose control, but looking at him smile at what he's accomplished pisses me off even more. Im trying to calm down, but I feel the curse marks burning my skin starting at my hands. I cant let this continue. I cant get completely covered in these marks he cant win, but he hurt Angel. My Angel the nerve of him to destroy a helpless girl. She didn't deserve this. She's hurt because of me and all I hear is my demons whispering in my ears.
Oh come on son, you could've told her what she truly is at least prepare her for the inevitable instead of playing secret house like that little thing you have going on could work. I know you're smarter than that or am I just giving you too much credit because you're my son? Anyway, make your choice. Either. I will kill this whole pack, and she truly has no one, and I do mean every living, breathing thing in this dump will be killed, and I'll burn it to ashes afterward, so there's nothing left to even bury. Or we leav, no more torturing you, no more running. You take your place beside me and embrace your true self, Son, take a look around. You want to tear me apart just like I tore these pathic wolves apart. Focus on that anger and thrive on it. Let it take over you and follow in my footsteps. You have 30 seconds to pick.
His smile dropped instantly as he spoke the seriousness in his voice. I know there's no way around this, and I don't even need 30 seconds to pick up. I'll do anything to get my father as far away from her as possible before he destroys her as he destroyed me. I looked down and walked towards him. I don't have to look to know that sinister smile returns to his face as he patted me on the back like a proud father praising his son after he won a sports game or something. Looking at Angel one last time, seeing her on the floor disheveled, her beautiful hair and skin painted red with the blood of her loved ones. I want to run to her to make everything right, but I know if I'd just pushed her away and not got involved with her, I wouldn't have destroyed her. I know now im just like my father, a monster that only cares about himself. I was too selfish to let her go even as a kid. I have caused this. Now I'm leaving her alone to figure it out be herself. Right before my father zaps us out of this bloody m******e, I see warriors running up on the horizon howling, but no sound is louder than Angel's heartfelt cry and, just like that, my father snaps and she's gone, and my fate is sealed to protect the girl that I can never meet with again.
Third Persons POV
The pack warriors, Ryan, and Krissy make it to a scene unimaginable. Everyone froze in shock to see Angel, covered in dirt and blood, crying surrounded by the body parts of the beta and Alpha couple. Krissy was the first one to snap out of it and screamed, running to what she could piece together were the remains of her parents, pushing Angel aside, tears running down her face. Krissy screams out asking Angel what she did. How could she do this to their parents? Ryan finally snaps out of it and rushes to Angel with worry, screaming about what happened, shaking her, trying to get her to talk faster as tears run down his face at the loss of his parents. Angel is explaining a mile a minute how demon creatures no, no monsters, came out of the ground and from the shadows and killed them. But the more and more she explained, the worry in Ryan's eyes faded and changed into raw hatred, not believing anything she's saying. He shouted in her face to shut up. She's the only one here covered in blood. There's no other scent or tracks of any other person here on the field with her. He always knew she was different, but he'd never expected her to be a monster that would murder her own family and superiors. He orders the guards to throw her in the pack's basement, where they hold rouges that pass their boarder and collect the remains of the late alpha and beta couple. He picks up Krissy pulling her away as she fights to stay with what's left of her parents' body parts. He put Krissy in her room in the packhouse and instructed the guard to stay with her, and he walked down to the basement where they threw Angel. He asked again what happened, but her story was still the same as the hours passed from asking, pleading with her, saying they were friends. He hoped she would be his mate. If she ever cared about him, she would be honest. His pleading stop and anger started to replace the love he had for her and, in the middle of her cry and explaining again, he balled up his fist and punched her, making blood ooze out of her nose. She looks up at him in complete shock. No one has ever hit her before. No one has ever even stayed angry at her. She's always been the one to make everyone happy and now, as she looked up to see the hate in Ryans eyes, she pulled her hand down from her nose, looking at her parents' blood now mixed with her own and she cant help but thinking why this was happening to her why has the moongoddess left her to suffer this fate. The world around her slowly began to fade black right before she passed out.
