Chapter Two Hunter gave Hilverruon his fall attention when he started to act out, he gently grasped his cheek with one hand and stroked his nose with the other. Hunter was nervous, he knew his dragon only ever acted out whenever he sensed danger, but he didn't know if it was the dragon or villagers. "Hunter, it looks like someone is walking over towards up," Sam spoke up as he saw a man wearing a fur coat. Hunter turned and faced the person walking up shaking his hand when the two of them got closer, "Welcome to my village Tascony, I am the village chief Blann Marsson." Blann's reaction was distracted a little by Hunter's own dragon acting up, he wondered if they could handle the dragons "Thank you for allowing us to see why the dragon is giving you problems I am Hunter, these are my companions Amelia, Sam, Phillip, Hanna and Stephen. Don't be afraid of Hilverruon he is just very protective when he senses danger," Hunter replied. "I'm glad you guys decided to come, please follow me. I will show you were the dragon enters from," Blann spoke. The 6 of them followed in toe, looking around the village; The village itself looks magnificent. With its seagrass rooftops, marble walls and majestic fjords, Tascony has a amusing atmosphere. Quite and Humble seemed to be the way of it's people, before the dragon attacked. The main attraction though was the castle, which was built 39 years ago and designed by ancestors of vikings. Tascony has a feeble economy, which is mainly supported by thieving, wood production and beer brewing. But their biggest strengths are strong magicians and skilled in the art of war. "Have you lost any people?" Hanna asked as she witnessed the burnt houses and crops. Blann looked over at Hanna, "Yes we have, we've lost maybe half of our villagers. We don't know when it's going to attack or why." He stopped at the edge of the forest, "It comes out of here, we think it comes from the mountain up there." The 6 of them peered into the forest, it was dark which would be cozy for a dragon, "Alright we will have a look, Phillip and Stephen, you two stay here. The rest of us will fly up and have a look," Hunter spoke "Yes boss," Stephen replied while Phillip grumbled, Hunter knew he wouldn't do anything so there was no point allowing him to come. Amelia kept her eyes on the forest for an extra few seconds, something didn't feel right and she couldn't put her finger on what it was, she turned on her heel catching up with Hunter, Sam and Hanna. "You alright?" Sam asked Amelia noticing how distant she was, like her mind was somewhere else. Amelia drew her attention to Sam before nodding her head, she looked at the forest once again, "Let's just have a look and see what we find." She gently stroked Ethrinria's scales while her dragon placed her neck around Amelia's. The two of them stayed like that for a few more seconds, Amelia's blonde hair was blowing in the wind. Hanna was getting worried, she's never seen Amelia look so distant like she was really worried about something. "Amelia? Are you ready to go?" Sam asked her cutting her out of her trance once again. She nodded before gently climbing onto Ethrinria saddle and grabbed the leather straps. The four dragons took to the sky, Hanna stayed back to keep an eye on the land, being an elf meant really good eyesight and hearing. Her blue eyes wandered to Amelia once again before her eyes caught something else. A little cave just up from the forest. "Hey guys, over there" Hanna pointed allowing Atrastrasza (At-ras-tra-za) to descend towards the cave. The three others followed in toe landing perfectly onto the ground. There was a path from the cave to the village, the path was made by mud and stones. The trees were cut down to create the path. "This is getting weirder by the second, why is there a path that leads from the cave to the village?" Sam asked. Hunter hummed as he looked into the cave, "I'm not sure but we still need to check it out. Does anyone have a light?" Amelia stepped forward allowing her hands to move against each other while muttering under her breath, "Fire of light, fire of light." Her right hand began to form a small ball of light allowing everyone to see inside the cave. The cave was filled with beautiful red and yellow crystals, "Oh my this is beautiful," Amelia whispered. The three nodded in agreement, the further they got into the cave they began to notice skeletons of baby dragons, "What the hell?" Sam asked. That's when they saw a beautiful purple and blue dragon laying next to two blue baby dragons, it was a mother. The four of them breathed a sigh of relief knowing that not all the baby dragons were dead. Hanna noticed that there was a bit of sheep wool on the ground. "It seems the mother dragon was only taking the sheep to feed it's young and then the villagers attacked back killing defenceless children. We need a word to the chief," Hanna explained. Hunter ran a hand over his face taking a deep breath, "Alright, let's head back to the village." Amelia didn't want to leave the dragons alone, who knows when the villagers were going to come again. She sighed and headed out of the cave with the others allowing the fire in her hands to die out. She walked over the Ethrinria seeing the sad look in her eyes, dragons feel for one another just like humans do. She let out a soft smile to Ethrinria before climbing onto the saddle once again, "We will be back Ethrinria don't you worry." Amelia grabbed onto the leather straps seeing the three of them fly up into the air, Ethrinria followed not long after. Amelia looked back at the cave once more and checked the ground if she could see any villagers coming towards the cave. Hilverruon, Mirozus (mir-o-zues) and Atrastrasza landed back at the village while Ethrinria was the last to land. Stephen and Phillip made their way over. "What did you find?" Stephen asked once Hunter, Sam, Amelia and Hanna had gotten off their dragons. Sam looked at Stephen grasping in Stephen's green skin and crooked nose, "The dragon is a mother dragon and the villagers are killing her babies." Hunter and Amelia headed over towards Blann's house knocking three times. Amelia didn't know if she couldn't control herself, what she had seen in the cave was enough to piss her off for a while. The door swung open, Blann smiled before stepping back allowing Hunter and Amelia to come inside. Her silver dragon scale swished as she walked in, you see they have two outfits; there is one that is fully decked out if they go for war or know the place they are going is dangerous. The one she is wearing is lighter weight, it was sort of like a crop top that showed her belly button and on the right side was dragon scale sleeve that connected to the dragon skin glove and she also wore leather pants with a dragon skin belt. (Imagine it silver) Hunter's was different, his was is a t-shirt and leather pants, both his arms are covered in a dragon skin sleeve but he didn't wear any gloves. His dragon skin was gold, the higher you were ranked the different colour of your armour. Blann sat down on a chair before offering Hunter and Amelia a seat which they took, "What did you find?" His home was filled with carvings of dead animals, a bear rug was placed in the center of his room, while his bed had cow hyde over it. Amelia noticed a dragon's head on the wall which made her shiver as she saw it. What did that dragon do to deserve that? Hunter looked at Blann, he didn't like how stupid he was playing, "We found something very interesting. We found the cave that is holding the dragon, we also discovered that it has babies." The two of them watched the colour drain from Blann's face, he cleared his throat allowing them to continue. "We also found about 5 dead baby dragons on the ground, Hanna spotted sheep's wool on the ground. Did you kill the baby dragons for revenge over a few sheep?" Amelia asked. Blann was silent for a few seconds, he bit his lip and scratched the back of his head, "What were we going to do? They were taking our sheep. We couldn't allow that to happen." Amelia clenched her fist, "The only reason why the dragon was attacking your village is because you killed its babies. It was peaceful before... Right" she watched Blann nodded. "Here is what you are going to do, you are going to leave the dragon and it's babies alone and you will leave a few sheep out tonight for it. Tomorrow we will guide the dragon and it's babies to a new home. But if I find out that you and your villagers attacked them once again you'll be answering to me... Got it!" Blann watched Amelia watching as she grew angrier by the second which made him gulp, he knew never to mess with a mage, "Yes Amelia, you have my word."
