Garret arrived back at the office only to see his employer in a foul mood.
“So you finally decided to come to work?” Henry asked, he obviously had no intention of scolding the man but he wasn’t happy to see him either. “So what was so important that you spent half the day away from work, huh? Did you go out with a woman? Or maybe you went to visit your brother’s grave? Or did you meet some friends?” Alternating between a serious and a ridiculously cheery voice, the man showed a great amount of distaste for the other’s actions.
“I was at my parent’s…” Garret didn’t really have any excuses and just spoke honestly to the other, though that didn’t seem to make the situation any better for him.
“Your parents? Why’s that?” Henry asked in an annoyed voice.
