Chapter 8 Shadows in the Forest Haris crouched in a spot of sunlight, hoping his clothes would dry faster so they would stop chaffing. He couldn’t afford to stand, in case he was spotted, but he took the moment to eat another of a weird fruit he had found. After Mitra had been taken, he had immediately jumped into the dumbest plan he had had in the last week. And that was saying something. He knew there was only the slimmest of chances that he would find Mitra and the ubir on his own, so he did the only thing he could; he followed the trail.
