We headed down the narrow steep path that led down to the water’s edge. It was such a beautiful place, even if getting to it didn’t seem particularly safe. I had expected us to stop when we reached the water, but Jackson just kept going. Following the dark grey stone path alongside the water. We were a little higher than the water’s edge and the path seemed to get more and more narrow the further we went.
When we reached the edge of the waterfall, the path was only just wide enough for us to stand with our backs against the cliff. I wanted to reach out and touch the water, but I couldn’t because Jackson was in the way. I watched on as he lifted his leg really high and disappeared from view. He had disappeared behind the water, but there was so much spray I couldn’t see him at all.
