I was receiving Aelix’s first report on the incursion into Moon’s Bright territory when the news of the assault at the hospital parking lot reached me.
“What?! What the hell are you talking about?!” I shouted, completely shaken, when I received the call from Director Paula’s assistant.
“It was an attack in the hospital parking lot, sir. We’re treating Luna Paris’s assistant and her escort right now.”
“And her?! Where is Luna Paris?!”
The two seconds of silence that followed my question told me everything.
“We… we have no information about her, Alpha, but we must assume the attackers took her. The hospital security team is reviewing the cameras—”
