Becca was waiting for Jude to call her, knowing the fracas that had started. She watched the news, and as soon as she saw the headlines, she switched off the TV out of anxiety. "I told dad to take it easy," she complained to herself and landed on her bed hardly. Her mind was in turmoil, and the longer she waited for Jude to call her, the more insane she felt. Jude arrived at the governor's office and, thankfully, he was available. "I thought you'd never show up. Young man," the governor said to Jude with a stern face as soon as Jude entered his office. Jude had been in that office one too many times, to the extent that he could walk right in anytime he showed up. The only protocol he ever faced was if the governor was in a closed-door meeting.
