Chapter 11 Tebanis led Koragi back to Kyr’s home, where they packed their bags with as many supplies as they could carry. They gathered food, filled their water skins, snagged some flint and steel and a few extra clothes, and took a few whetstones to accompany a pair of extra daggers and a thin-sword for Koragi. As they finished, their bags stacked by the door, Koragi could not still her thundering heart. She breathed heavily, her flesh hot in her warring anger and confusion. She thought back to every moment she had spent alone with Kyr. She thought of his laughter, his generosity. Had it all been a ruse?
