Main Street swarmed with people. Booths lined eight blocks on both sides of the stretch of cobbled ground. The artisans of Stransin displayed so many wares that Koragi lost herself to the spectacle. She moved from one exhibit to the next, enjoying the show of craftsmanship. None of the items on display at the Amber Passage were for sale, but she would have liked to purchase some of them. A smith had arranged his finest swords and knives on gleaming iron pedestals. Like the furniture in The Yellow Harp, the scabbards for these blades wove stories in their designs.
