Chapter 25
The sky crackled as Toport carried Koragi far above the enemy army. Occasionally, a darkstalker or other flying abomination attacked them, but the massive golden dragon made short work of them. Koragi’s eyes and senses scoured the ravine, top to bottom. She guided Toport, looking for weakened portions of the wards surrounding the army so that she could focus her senses, force them to find a stray dragon amidst the hordes.
Toport suddenly reared and jerked to his left. Koragi leaned down, clutching at the membrane in front of her. Looking sharply to the right, she glared at three winged beasts that had latched onto her companion after appearing from behind a cliff face.
