Chapter 24
The magic of the gods was all Koragi had expected it to be. Her power was strange and bright, shaking the core of the mountain until morning as she exercised some of her newfound abilities. The dragon wards around the cave quivered, clashing against her power as if in protest. Koragi realized that she could unwind the wards if she wished. She saw the strands of magic and how they wove together. She only had to pluck them. But she let them be. They shrouded her being, keeping her aura from expanding further than the cave walls. None outside the cave knew of her transformation; she controlled when that would change. She was sure that the moment she departed, the dragons, and perhaps even the other gods, would sense her as she now sensed them.
