The Allegory of Transcendence

Soul Chase

                Previously, the angels of sloth and envy finally encountered their objective; the Soul eater. However, they were already too late and casualties had occurred and so now they're in pursuit after giving a proper burial for the poor child Amy.

After escaping from Gabriel, the Soul eater hastily ran towards the Crescent Moon Lake and it pondered how frightening the angel was. But then the dullness of the forest was elucidated by the moonlight, the monster continued running north while noticing something glittering behind its cloak.

                " A feather? what's it doing here? " muttered the Soul eater with a tone of curiosity.

                " I wonder as well?" whispered by a familiar voice. The soul eater was startled and immediate reacted by instinct and sought were the voice came from.

                "(Wait?! didn't that scoundrel appeared from behind me, so this feather might be his!)"  the Soul eater then realized that the feather came from the angel, but as it was mulling over to itself. Gabriel was already beside him whispering:

                "Caught you~" *grins*  said menacingly by Gabriel while the Soul eater felt a shiver in its spine and suddenly sprinted faster but to its surprise, the angel just let him run away once more so it checked for feathers but found nothing.

                " I need to find the key fast! that angel reeks danger, I don't think I can handle him alone lord Beelzebub." says the Soul eater to himself as if it was talking to someone else despite none was around.

However, as it approached near its destination and was about to look behind to check whether the angel was on its tail. Raphael was already waiting ahead up above the trees.

                " Why are you fooling around Gab?! I want to sleep." announced by Raphael by a loud tone which made his presence be known by the Soul eater who was once again caught by surprised.

                " Don't worry, I'll end this swiftly Raph, he's my prey." says the angel of envy who was already a few meters behind the Soul eater, casually sauntering out of the shadows.

The Soul eater was dumbfounded, but despite the situation it was in. It laughed sinisterly that the birds and animals began to scatter. Raphael wasn't fazed and descended gradually in order to block its escape but then the Soul eater smiled.

               Gabriel noticed and felt another presence lurking behind the woods but the carefree sloth appears to not notice anything so he warns Gabriel but a large blast was targeted to strike the angel of sloth.

                " I'll be taking a nap somewhere Gab!! find me when you're done hehe. " shouted by the sloth who managed to react in time but the explosion blasted him away.

                " Sigh* I hope you don't wake up dingus!" exclaimed the angel of envy as it realized that Raphael was feigning ignorance and already knew that there was someone aiming against him.

                " ke ke ke ke, it appears you're in a pinch now its two on one angel of envy~"  says the Soul eater while its ally from the shadows came out and appeared was a Salamander; a fire breathing reptilian known to be from the lineage of dragons and kin to dragonewts. 

                " Shhhhh, it doesn't matter, but what matters is you should check what's above you. *points to the skies* " warned Gabriel with a condescending tone, however the Salamander didn't paid any attention as it thought it was a trap but the Soul eater instinctively reacted and suddenly put out a barrier and brazed for impact.

Turns out that a fusillade of feathers rain down from above as the angel of envy sneak beforehand its counterattack amidst the confusion.

                The Soul eater manage to protect itself but the Salamander was wounded seriously and fell unconscious.

                " That's one down." says Gabriel while laying out a smirk, mocking the Soul eater who was smiling seconds ago.

                " (Why did lord Beelzebub sent someone useless, anyways I have to find a way to escape)"

                " I'm afraid you won't be escaping." says Gabriel as he appears in front of the Soul eater and slams its face unto the ground with his palm.

                " Curse you!!"  exclaimed the Soul eater as it raised its head from the ground but the angel of envy kicks its face and the force almost took its head off but crashed into a tree along with the body of the Salamander.

                " You're pretty weak, was that it?"  said the angel of envy to infuriate the weakened Soul eater but to Gabriel's surprise, the monster devoured the Salamander's soul and absorbed its abilities.

With a sinister laugh, the Soul eater felt power surging through its body and retaliated by conjuring a draconian sphere of flame projected towards the angel of envy.

                " No ash? no bone? who is weak now?! ke ke ke." says the Soul eater as it thought the fire smoldered Gabriel but then someone poked its shoulders from behind and it began suddenly screaming.

Gabriel tore the Soul eater's arm. The monster wails but the angel didn't stop and chopped of its legs with a spear of light he conjured. 

Blood spurted like a fountain and the Soul eater was incapacitated after losing a lot blood and fortunately, the souls of Lily and Amy it had devoured hasn't been processed yet and was able to cross into the afterlife. Everything appears to done, the dead has been avenged, the objective has been secured, and Raphael is casually dozing somewhere however, Gabriel uttered.

                    " I know you're in there, come on out Beelzebub." says the angel of envy upon the Soul eater's dead body and inside came out were worms and insects that formed a temporary vessel for one of the prince of Hell; Beelzebub.

                    "  It's been a while brother, well over a decade? century? or millennia perhaps? kidding aside, how did you knew?" ask by Beelzebub while maintaining its temporary form made from different kinds of insects.

                    " My nose is quite sensitive to the smell of trash, and also don't call me brother you garbage and traitor. "  replied the angel of envy as he points his spear towards Beelzebub.

                    " Woah chill down Gab! I'm just here doing work, I need to make living you know." uttered Beelzebub while letting out a menacing smile.

                    " Since when do trash do anything besides taking itself out to the dump? enough with the jokes, I have to wake Raph somewhere so tell me what's your purpose." 

                    " I thought you had a brain Gab? do you think I'll tell you that easily?  I'm trash remember? why don't you take me out since you're fond of collecting trash yourself." provokingly replied by Beelzebub but Gabriel didn't take the bait as it knew it was a prank as the temporary vessel exploded and scattered bugs into the angel's face.

                    " Sheesh, disgusting as always and to think I have to find that sloth somewhere. *sigh"  uttered Gabriel as it let out a sigh of relief from finally avenging Lily and Amy's sacrifice.

                                                " Well! my work here is done, better find that sloth."
