I open my eyes in our big bed. It’s dawn. I stretch out utterly spent and think back to last night… Austin gave it all he got! He’s always so gentle and yet powerful… I wonder how he does it.
The evening was perfect, both tender and passionate. But I don’t see him anywhere in the room. Did he already leave for the police station?
I get up, my heart beating fast. I slip on a silk robe and head towards the living room. Once I’m there I hear some noise coming from the entrance. Austin is about to leave.
I join him near the door, and he turns towards me. His face brightens when he sees me. “I didn’t want to wake you. I thought you might need some rest after last night…”
