As we eat, Austin seems much more hungry for me than he is for his dish. “It’s excellent sweetheart. This late evening is definitely perfect.”
Behind the compliment, I feel his concern about tomorrow. I don’t know what tomorrow will bring… but I smile at him tenderly. I want him to feel all the love I have for him. Deep in thought, I clumsily stain my blouse with a slice of pie.
