RETURNING

Third person’s pov

After a week of healing and bonding with the little pup, Lia and Rain wanted to go back to the palace because of the bond they felt with the little pup. It was scaring them so much, she was related to them.

Austin was also going with them. He had already gone back to his pack and told his father what had happened. He had to go with Lia and the rest, because his wolf couldn’t bare to be away from its mate.

Two days later, they started running back to California. It took them another two days because of the little pup. She had to be fed and she had to nap and, with her weird fetish, Lia and Rain had been swapping being the bed and all. As they crossed the border, everybody in the palace got out and looked towards them. The two white wolves were too eye-catching to ignore. Zaya was huge, almost the size of Pio, Storm was taller than Dev ( Austin's wolf) who was running next to Pio.

“ I have never seen such a huge omega wolf.” Laila said in shock and awe, she had seen Storm and was bigger than other alpha wolves, but Lia’s wolf was on another level. “ Yes, this is crazy, how can she be this huge?” The twins (Dimitri and Dominic) exclaimed making the others to chuckle. Old Carl was glad that they found Lia on time. Leo and Laura were happy, while Rance and Georgina were stunned by the little pup on Lia’s back. They felt their bond click and tears started to roll down Georgina’s eyes. Rance felt his heart skip a beat, why did he feel like he had just found his long lost pup?

“ What the heck is that jerk doing here!” Ally said as Artemis took over growling lowly and dangerously. Everybody felt the change and turned towards them. Malik and Sally were trying to hold Artemis back and though Anthena Sally’s wolf was mad too, she didn’t take over like her twin. She just watched knowing there would be somebody losing a head.

When Lia and the rest reached the palace, they saw everybody waiting for them and also sensed Artemis, who rarely showed herself.

She remembered she had come back with Austin. Sally and Ally were not his fans at all. When Dev came to a stop he felt things weren’t right so he looked around and saw a lot of people he didn’t know but recognized the twins. Ally was being held back. She was glaring at him with glowing golden eyes, meaning her wolf had taken over and was about to go on a rampage. He felt his back shiver and was scared. “ Let her go.” Zaya said to Sally and Malik.

After that, Artemis ran and shifted mid air as she lunged at Dev. This guy was definitely not ready and didn’t believe that Lia could give the go ahead. He was clawed on the face and that is what woke him from his stupor. He tried to avoid her but Artemis was bent on leaving several scars on him. She bit his hind limbs and snapped them, Dev howled out, bringing everybody out of their surprised stupor. “ Hey love, that’s enough.” Ali said as he took over from Malik. He tried to use his command but Artemis was not listening.

Everybody turned and looked at Zaya. She was lying down like all of this was not her problem. When she felt everybody looking at her, she shifted back to her human form, still not giving Lia back the ropes.

Pio also shifted into his human and gave her one of his t-shirts to wear, “ Zaya is the only one who can stop her, Artemis has already taken Zaya as her queen, so anything Zaya says it goes.” Pio says, answering everybody’s thoughts.

“ Haha, he deserves it. Make sure you leave a scar, otherwise I will snap his head.” Sally says, and Ali holds her waist and pulls her closer to him to avoid another ‘out of control wolf’ to beat an alpha. Dev tried to struggle out of her hold and shifted back to his human form and ran to hide behind Pio. His face had scratch marks and one of his legs was bleeding so much, his face was turning pale due to blood loss, but nobody dared to interfere.

Ronny chuckled darkly, “ I swear never to offend our queen, I would rather annoy our king. At least I won’t end up scarred.” Everybody shivered at the thought and they all looked at Zaya who was now sprawled lazily on the grass. “ Okay Artemis, that has been a good show. It’s my turn now.” Zaya said as she turned towards Dev, she grabbed him and pulled him to the ground. Zaya was holding him down with his hands behind his back, she made a sharp icicle appear in her hands.

Lia was stuck deep in her memories, the one Austin wrote Hades on her back. Zaya had to do something to take her out of those memories before she went on an ice rampage and froze everybody in California.

“ Do you remember that day you wrote Hades on my back?” Zaya asked in fury. “ It’s now my turn to make you relive that pain, you are not allowed to lose consciousness. If you do, I will freeze your manhood and will never be able to get me pregnant.” When Dev heard this he went still and nodded stiffly.

Zaya smirked and started writing the words Hades on his back. He regretted ever hurting his own mate. Austin woke up from the pain and let out a shrill scream. Dev joined in and the scream scared everybody in the pack. They could all feel the cold surrounding the pack like a barrier. Nobody else outside the barrier could hear the screams. After writing Hades, she sprinkled the wound with vervain and a little bit of aconite.

The wound sizzled and the bleeding stopped but the wound was covered in purple ashes . If you looked from afar it looked like a tattoo, only the wolves around just looked on with dead eyes. “ Since I can’t kill you nor reject you, then you will go through everything you put me through,tsk!” Zaya sneered and let go after she finished. “ You can take him to our place, he can have the bedroom on the left and the other psycho will get the one on the right. Until they prove themselves worthy, I will never mate with them.” Zaya said as she walked in the castle.

Rain followed with the little pup and everybody entered, still shocked by what they had just seen. “ Um Zaya, please let Lia out.” Old Carl tried calmly to gauge his granddaughter’s anger. “ I can’t, if I do that she will freeze everything and anybody. But I think Pio can help lessen the blizzard in our hearts. It’s almost taking over our bodies.” Zaya says before she blacks out. Dustin, who was back after taking Austin and Dev to rest and heal, saw Zaya almost falling down before Rain held her.

He rushed to her and picked her up, trying to sense their spiritual bodies inside. He found her heart freezing over and it was almost completely like an ice cube. He told Pio to help him send a wave of heat into her body and cover her heart with lava to melt the ice, which was speedily turning the heart into a big block of ice. Though she won’t die, she will lose her humanity and become a murderous wolf, much worse than mindless rouges. She won’t be mindless, she will just be killing for fun.

“ I will take her to our place, she will be fine. I promise we won’t lose her to her elemental.” Dustin said as he carried her out of the palace and went in the direction of the house.

“ Sigh, I hope she won’t regret what she did to Austin,” Rain said, looking out of the window, remembering everything that just happened. “ Damn, our queen is scary.” Dominic said as he looked toward Ally who was already seated and back to her quiet self. Artemis was relaxed and content with what she did, it had been haunting her and Anthena for a while after seeing the way Lia dealt with the rejection after they moved. Even Anthena and Ali were sucking up to her, she had made them proud.

“ Laila , I am sorry for how I treated you when we met. I usually can’t think straight when my twin is involved, especially when she is hurt. Forgive me please and this is my messed up family. Do you accept us, me and Storm just the way we are?” Rain asked as he knelt in front of Laila.

“ I accept you and with everything you come with.” Liala replied as she reached her hand out to help Rain up. Everybody was all smiles after those two accepted each other. Ronny and his mates had accepted each other already, mated and also marked.

Everybody turned to look at the little pup who was busy turning on the couch restlessly and they remembered the new addition. “ Who is she and why is she in her wolf form?” Leo asked.

“ She might be related to us, Lia and I noticed the bond we share with the pup.” Rain said. “ What type of bond?” Old Carl asked with anxiety in his voice. “ Sibling bond, like we were born from the same parents.” Rain said sadly. Rance let out a gasp and Georgina was now crying fully, “ We really did have a pup that year. The dreams are all true. That means the scars on my stomach were not from an attack. They are from me giving birth through cesarian.”

After Georgina said that everybody looked at them sadly, they had gone through a lot. “ When did you have a baby? I didn’t even know that you were expecting,” Rain said, dumbfounded. “ We don’t know either, but we are missing one and a half years of our memories. Memories of our vacation.” Rance said, holding back his tears. They all gasped and looked at the little pup again, then at the couple that were lost in their own world.
