CHAPTER 7: THE ICE QUEEN

Lia’s pov

After watching every memory play like a video recorder in my head, I was so lost and angry. I don’t know what happened next but I was in this dark place just sitting and waiting.

I know I have to calm down as a human with an ice elemental. I can freeze the whole of California and I can’t live knowing I hurt innocent lives. I guess Zaya took over my body. I hope she can find a way to bring me back and then I can send that stupid alpha and his damned people to hell!

I can feel anger burning in me, the ice covering my whole body, but the feeling is so amazing, it’s like I belong to the ice and the ice belongs to me. The ice pierced through my bones and the cold was running through my veins, mixing with my blood. It was like a transformation or shifting because the pain was too much. After two hours, I lay down in the dark with my pale body. At that time, I saw a burning door, the fire burning so powerfully. It felt like it was calling out to me, so I followed my instincts and went towards it.

Reaching it, I felt so comfortable like its warming through my heart, something pushed me to open the door and I did and went through it. A bright light that almost blinded me shot through my eyes and my senses came back. I could hear the voices of my mate and Zaya, who was struggling to go back into my consciousness, so I let her in and I woke up. I found Dustin staring straight at me with doting eyes and a smile so sweet I felt like smacking his face to wipe it off.

“ Welcome back my ice queen! You almost froze our whole pack but I brought you back in time.” He said, I was so shocked to find that I almost froze people to death, “ is anyone hurt?” I asked him full of worry. “ No my queen everybody is safe, thanks to Zaya who helped me through the process of bringing you back to your body, otherwise it could have been worse and I think you know it.” He said holding my hands and squeezing them, it felt so good to be held by him. Even though I knew that it was a mate bond, I really loved the feeling so I tightly held his hands and didn’t let go.

“ Please hold me for a while, it feels so refreshing.” “ Okay.” He said and I made space for him on the tiny hospital bed and he cuddled me in his arms, which I totally loved.

We fell asleep and I blocked our mind-link because Zaya had to go through the ice transformation too and I knew the pain would make Pio crazy. So I entered my consciousness spiritually to help Zaya, who was so grateful. I stayed with her for five hours before her transformation was over. Her's was longer because of her body size and shape.

Her fur was ice white and she had an ice crown which looked like flames of fire, exactly like Pio’s crown on his chest. I guess we had already accepted each other. I let Zaya rest and went back to my body and woke up to find Dustin looking at me like I had grown huge pimples on my face, only that his eyes showed a different expression and not disgust.

“What’s wrong with my face! Did I drool that much?” I asked, perplexed, and a burst of laughter got me out of my stupor, so I looked at him bewildered. “ Hey stop laughing at me, I am still the hottest, even with drools all over.” I said dripping with sarcasm and that made him stop.

He looked at me with a totally weird expression. Was that love or desire? “ Love, I agree you are the most beautiful woman and wolf I’ve ever met but your complexion just changed to icy white and your cheeks are a pale blue. You look exquisite. I think you’ve already accepted your ice elemental and you’ve gone through the transformation.” He said lovingly. “ Yes, how did you know?” I asked. “ Because I’ve already gone through mine too, but Pio helps me hide my looks because I will be a walking flame burning anything in my way.” He said.

I was taken aback by this sudden confession and I was intrigued. I wanted to see the real him and so I asked, “ may I see how you look please, at least I feel better knowing I’m not the only freak in this world.” I smiled and he chuckled lightly. He stood up and transformed into his amazing body. His height grew to seven feet tall and his hair grew longer. It was black but with a golden touch to it, his body's complexion turned golden, his pink lips and fire-golden eyes were the most beautiful I’ve ever seen.

I gasped at the change which made my heart beat like crazy and my core throb painfully. What the hell is he doing to me? My body is overreacting like a slut! I never knew I could have such a reaction. It’s incredible and then again, too much for me. I wanted to run my hands all over his golden skin and bite those pink lips and look at his blazing golden eyes for all eternity. I didn’t know my reaction was so strong that I started to transform into my ice body, which made Dustin gasp loudly and growled teasingly.

I didn’t know that the changes would be this significant for my height, which increased and I almost reached seven inches. My eyes were directly looking at his inviting pink lips and I swallowed hard. My hair was long, reaching my thighs and it was white with a pale blue luster, same with my skin. “ The colour of your lips are a beautiful rose red and your eyes the colour of ice and the pale blue is shining with vengeance. May I kiss you!” He asked and I nodded lost in his lips.

The feel of his lips on mine was so sweet, warm and demanding and I let him lead me through it, because let’s face it, I’m hopeless at these things. We were so lost in our little passionate kiss and didn’t hear the door open and someone coughed so loudly that we jumped away from each other like teenagers caught in a locker room jumping on each other. We were both looking down and didn’t dare to look at the intruder.

“ So all that overwhelming power is being released because you two are just kissing! God help us! What will happen when you mate then, kill us!” Leo said with a reprimanding voice.

We looked up at him gasping at what he had just said and we found him smiling like a fool. You’d even doubt what he said if our eyes didn’t land on the warriors passed out on the floor. I was feeling so happy and confused at the same time. What power did we release? It was just a kiss for heaven’s sake!

“ You guys will have to make a trip to the sss Rainforest, that is where you will mate and mark each other. It’s safer that way, no casualties.” Leo said, looking at us and sighed, which made us sigh too. We nodded our heads in understanding and changed back to our normal forms. I took longer because this was my first time experiencing this and Pio was taking me through it.

I lay back on the bed which I knew was too small for us and took a nap. All that transformation took a lot of my energy and I felt drained. I was out as soon as my head hit the pillow.
