Rhea Sommerton is a girl that needs to take care of her very sick mother and had to quit going to school and start online school at the library in her neighborhood to pay for her mother's bills. One day a man by the name of Lucas Valoreign, billionaire and owner of Valoreign industries, walks into her job. He decides to offer Rhea a scholarship to a school he owns for the extremely wealthy. He offers to pay for her mother's bills in California while she comes back with him to live in New York and go to his school and work for him. She eventually agrees only to find he has an unwelcoming son that cannot stand the poor and "peasantry".
