Eriana
My shift FLEW by as we kept busy all day. I was more than happy for a quick shift today so I could get back home to my baby. As I clocked out and walked to my car, I called Ash to check on Bria.
“Hey girl, is everything okay?” She asked through the speaker.
“Yeah, girl, just checking in. I just clocked out, but I need to do a little shopping for our girl’s night out. Do you need to go shopping too? We can meet up.”
“Hmm.. yeah! Is it ok to leave Liz with Bria or do you want me to bring her with us and she can babysit while we shop?”
“Aw bring her, I miss my baby's sweet face,” I said gushing over her. Bria was literally my air, I loved that little girl more than life and everyone knew it.
“Hah, I figured. Ok. I’ll meet you at the mall at twenty.”
“Okay. See you soon!”
As I drove to the mall, I noticed a black vehicle a few cars back that seemed to follow me. I thought about it and laughed at myself because they’re probably just going to the mall. It is a pretty small town. So I ignored the black vehicle I thought was following me and started singing along to Mulatto’s “Queen of the Souf”. I pulled into the parking lot and noticed the black vehicle pulling in behind me but going in the opposite direction as me. I shrugged and looked for Ash’s car so I could see my love bug.
After driving around for 15 minutes, I finally found Ash, Liz, and Bria in a parking space with Ash guarding the spot beside her to save it for me. I couldn’t help but laugh since this was always our mall tradition. If we didn’t come together, we would always stand in the nearest parking spot for the other.
I parked in my saved spot and got out to grab up my favorite girl. She squealed and giggled as I covered her little face and body with kisses. After she’d had enough, I hugged her and packed her into her stroller and we headed into the mall to shop for our upcoming girl's night.

I was more than excited to hear that my little firecracker had broken up with her boyfriend. I hated that he broke her heart, and I definitely wanted to rip him apart for it, but secretly I was grateful. Anton and Micah were some of my best trackers and I knew they wouldn’t have any problems finding my love even if we didn’t know where she worked.
Alpha Woods
Yes?
Luna Eriana and her friend are going clubbing this weekend. Do you want us to stay with her or will you take over?
Do you know when?
No, but I’m going to find out.
Let me know when and I will take over from there.
Yes, Alpha.
I cut off my link with Anton and linked Anthony and Ori to join me in my office. I was so excited to get back to Lamister to see my beautiful mate. I literally couldn’t do anything but think of her and how I needed her here with me. I wasn’t much for nightclubs, but for Eriana, I would be and do whatever she wanted.
Knock, knock
“Come in,” I said.
“What’s up, D?” Ori asked.
“I’m going to Lamister this weekend. Eriana broke up with her boyfriend and she’s going out with her friend this weekend. I need one of you to come with me.”
“Aww, D. Since when do you need a wingman?” Anthony teased.
“f**k off, I don’t need a wingman. The town is full of other supernaturals and I want to make sure I have a backup since I’ll be sending Anton and Micah home so they aren’t away from their mates so long.”
Anthony nodded in understanding. “Cool, when are we leaving?”
“Wait, why do you get to go?” Ori asked.
“Because you have a mate and honestly, I’m a much better warrior than you,” Anthony shrugged nonchalantly.
“Yeah, right? I could kick your ass any time,” Ori fired back.
“I really don’t give a s**t who goes. Play rock, paper, scissors for all I care,” I said, unamused by their childish bickering.
Ori and Anthony played 8 rounds of Rock, Paper, Scissors until Ori finally won and started doing victory laps around my office. I ran my hands over my face and wonder why I even put up with these two. They’re pretty much idiots.
“Why are y’all like this?” I groaned.
“Ah, it’s just a bit of fun, Big D. Anyway, when are we leaving?” Ori said, still preening from his win.
“Probably in a few hours, just in case they go out tonight. I’m still waiting on intel about their little girl's night out.”
“Cool, just let me know. I’ll go pack.”
“And I’ll make sure the pack doesn’t burn to the ground,” Anthony said begrudgingly.
“Alright, I’m going to get packing. Book a hotel, Ori. We‘ll need it for tonight, but I’m hoping to find an apartment tomorrow.”
“Aye, aye, Captain,” Anthony said with a mock salute as I rolled my eyes and shooed them both from my office. As I left my office on the second floor, I headed up to my room to pack my weekend bag, my body buzzing with excitement.
Just the thought of seeing Eriana again had me on cloud nine. I couldn't wait to see her beautiful face and smell her delicious scent. As much as I wanted to see her, I know Jordan wanted to see her even more. If anyone deserved their mate, it was him. Jordan has kept me on the straight and narrow path of waiting for our mate. I don't know where we would be if it hadn't been for him keeping me together, especially with Michaela still lurking around.
Just the thought of her made Jordan growl in contempt. Jordan hated her just as much as I do, now. I would have banished her from our lands if it wasn’t for her parents being such kind and devoted pack members. I knew they would accept whatever judgment I passed as punishment for her actions, but I couldn’t shoulder knowing how hurt they would be.
I never want my people to see me as someone who is merciless. I want them to know I would do anything for every single one of them. These people are my people, and I’m responsible for their well-being and happiness until my last breath. I want to be a legendary Alpha, like my father was. That means sometimes I have to let people live, even when I want them dead. It’s a lot of responsibility, but my parents prepared me well for the job. Now, all I need is my Luna to run this pack beside me.
