The heart can longer hold the remaining glimpse of memories even after the death. It's like the bird, it will fly back and find its way home no matter what happens. But you will never know what happens next. It'll remain a mystery not until you discovered that on your own.
The sky seems like a roaring animal, it continues to thunder and lightning. There was a hint that heavy rain will fall at any time. Even though the darkness envelops the sky, there's still a moon, a reddish moon to be exact that gives them a moonlight. The illuminating light seemed to convey horror to the person that was living in the village. The squeak still seems incomprehensible.
The bats in the trees flew when they heard the voice of the young maiden. On the other hand, the dogs are barking nonstop and cats are howling like giving a signal or something. They seemed restless or lethargic as if they were connected to what was happening that midnight.
"E-Eleanora ..." His eyes were full of anguish and sadness as he stared at the woman in front of him. He is confused about everything; he wants to know why his woman acting differently.
There she is, standing in the middle of darkness without a hint of emotion in her eyes while staring blankly at the man. Her hands were covered in blood and her lips were red like an apple. Every second that passed Eleanora's gaze was terrifying yet it doesn't affect nor change the young man's feeling because he did not feel even a slight fear.
"My dear, we finally saw each other again after my long years at work," Emilio said excitedly to the woman. Even if he wanted to approach her, he could not. He seemed to be rotted to his place. He wasn't planning to go back home but he missed her. He keeps on sending a letter but he got no response from his beloved, he was confused as f**k.
", !" That's the only line she uttered, but her face remains stoic. But to his surprise, Eleanora suddenly growls and readying herself to attack the man. And in a spat of second, she was holding his neck as he started making a trace in his upper chest.
But Emilio can't formulate his reply nor stop the woman even if he is starting to feel the pain. All he can do is looked at the woman, hoping that she can recognize him. He's willing to accept everything nor let her do whatever she wants.
"I love you, my love..." he whispered, closing his eyes as the blood dripping from his chest. He was smiling even though the pain consumes his whole body.
"!!"
The woman stops what she was doing as she heard the old woman's voice. Seems like she was tamed, so she let go of the man in her hands, unable to move. The noise of the animals and insects around them grew louder.
On the other hand, Emilio sat weakly on the grass while his chest was covered in blood as he holds it so tight.
"Sweetie, don't..." there was a pleading in her voices, the grief was visible in it that made Eleanora stare directly to her eyes in confusion. "She's your man, the man you always wait in the balcony. Please don't hurt him, remember him, sweetie..."
