Rena realized that the young man was one of the men who broke into her home, and she glared at him. "Do you want to break in again?" she accused as her anger began to rise. "Then, go ahead!"
She knew that if he went inside, he would break the law, and they could call the police. Rena vowed that if the man threatened her parents one more time, she would fight him then and there. It would be easy to find a piece of wood that could be used as a weapon, and the thought made Rena's fist clench in anticipation.
"Please don't misunderstand me. I came here to apologize," the man explained quickly. "I'm here alone."
