Chapter 3There were many tears that night, as Clymene, Dictys, and especially Danae wept over the boy they had all raised to manhood. Perseus shed no tears himself, for he was still too much in a state of shock. He had no idea how he was even going to attempt this mission. He had never been off the island, and had no way of knowing how to navigate the sea or the land beyond. The outside world was a strange and terrifying place to him, and now he had just two full moons to accomplish what no other mortal on Earth had ever been able to do. When they all went to bed, Perseus found sleep would not come to him.
