“This book here is about the bylaws of the Lycan land,” Tori explained to me, handing me a book from the shelf. “And this one will explain everything about the palace.” She handed me another one. “This one---”
“Your Grace, I don’t think I can hold anymore,” I protested, trying to balance the stack of books I already had in my arms. Tori giggled and got down from the ladder.
She placed her hand on my cheek, giving me a gentle smile. “I am sorry, child,” she apologized. “I am just excited my son found his mate, and his queen. There is a lot you need to learn before the two of you take the throne in a few days.”
