Since we were in the city, Laken and I wanted to have dinner together, just the two of us. Honestly, this would be our official first date, since we never had an actual date. Luckily, I packed a nice suit and tie for an occasion like this, but I didn’t expect us to go out alone, especially with an assassin who was after my mate.
Laken got ready in her sister’s room so she could surprise me with a new dress she had just bought. I quickly took a shower and got dressed, then waited for her in the living room. While I was getting ready, I sent Tommy out to get her a bouquet of her favorite flowers, white lilies. He came into the suite looking flustered.
