Laken’s POV
We spent another day in the city, with Devon and I going around the city to the museums to see a variety of artwork at the Guggenheim and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. We also visited the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, and the Empire State Building, along with the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
After having been away from home for almost a week, it was good to be home. With the threat on my life gone, life around the palace has been more relaxed. Devon sent home the warriors from Mountain Moon, but dad insisted on keeping his soldiers at the palace, just as extra security.
Taking advantage of the relaxation of the palace, I wanted to go into town, enjoy the sea air, see the people, and explore the shops and restaurants it offered. With a half-dozen guards, I went into town
