Since our shopping trip, the rest of my summer has continued to be busy. Uncle Lykeon asked Laramie and me to organize a Fourth of July party for the teens, and we did a great job putting it together within a few weeks. We brought in Nick and Gemma to help, and Devon volunteered to help build anything we needed.
We set up an area off the patio, with a dance floor, and a small stage for the DJ that Devon and a few of his coworkers built for us. Emmie and the staff made some great food for us, including boneless wings with different spice ranges, homemade pizzas, and cupcakes that were topped with blueberries, strawberries, and white chocolate frosting.
