My body was slouching over the desk in the corner of my room, as my left hand slowly filled the blank page with writing, I was supposed to be getting ready for the annual werewolf Ball, where all the clans in the area come together for an evening, it was mostly to keep our treaty with each other while gaining support. Most of the scouts have been spotting hunters just on the outskirts of each town, we were mostly known to some humans but it was rare we were ever caught shifting. Everyone believed we were just normal people, living in a normal village. My cursive writing was beautiful as each letter was carefully placed onto the pages, the black ink carving each letter onto the book as if it was someone else writing for me. I looked out the window a few times as my desk was gently placed against it, it was my favourite spot in this house. My room was large but square shaped, with a wooden feature wall just behind my bed, a gorgeous quilt cover set, the floor was carpeted in light brown, the walls were painted cream. Lights in my room were provided with a few table laps, a ceiling light attached to a fan. My room's furniture was also done in nice and bright colours, as I loved a little bit of colour. Hearing a knock at the door, I didnt look up from my dairy, "Who is it?" "Its Harrison," Harrison replied, Harrison was my gay best friend, his mate was the alpha's son Jacob. Honestly the two of them were dreams, whenever they fought it lasted 2 minutes before they kissed or well resolved to s****l desires. "Come in," I replied. The door opened and I heard him step in, "You aren't dressed yet? You're father was worried you wouldn't be ready. Come on," Harrison replied. I chuckled and rolled my eyes, dropping my pen onto the page and closing it gently. I stood up and faced Harrison, I noticed he had jeled his hair and he was wearing a black and blue suit that made his eyes shine. "You look great," I replied as I looked at him. Harrison smiled warmly, "Thanks, now let me see you in a dress," he replied I chuckled and took my dress that was hanging on the coat-hanger, it was a beautiful blue dress with lace. I stepped into my ensuite, as my father was the Beta of this pack. He got the second best house which had 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms. Two rooms have an ensuite which is the main and this one. Dressing into the blue dress, I brushed my hair, gently putting it into a side braid, clipping it to the other side. Gently unclasping my earrings replacing it with a gorgeous silver and blue earrings with a matching necklace. Once I finished getting dressed, I stepped out and looked over at Harrison, I bit my lip as I stared at him, I could see Harrison smile as he saw me. "You look gorgeous, oh damn," He replied. I gave him a little twirl before we both headed downstairs to see my father fixing his blue tie on his black shirt. "Beta Dominic, let me show you Alison," Harrison spoke causing my father to look up. Harrison stepped to the left, showing me off to my father. He had a small smile on his face, I noticed a tear fall from his eyes as he saw me. "You look just like your mother when I first met her, oh darling," My father replied. My father never really showed emotion but this past year has been hard on the both of us. My mother Vanessa, died last year, she died protecting some pack children who had wondered too far from the forest. "Thank you father, you look great as well. I love the tie," I replied. My father smiled as he finished fixing his tie, after he was done. The three of us left the house and headed over towards the town square where the Moon ball would be commencing. Harrison noticed Jacob and headed over towards him, while I stayed near my father who was speaking to Jacob's father our Alpha Henderson. "Thank you Alison, for coming. I know this isn't your scene," my father replied. I looked at him, "Of course, I know not having a mate yet makes you look weak and I'm sorry," I replied. Everyone in the pack had a mate but me, being half witch and half wolf made it hard for someone to love me. I was a little stronger than most, they hated it. My parents would always reassure that I will find my mate one day. "Alison, you have never once made me look weak. You are strong and brave. You make me so proud Alison. Who knows tonight might be your night," my father smiled. I nodded, if only. I looked around to see that beautiful fairy lights had been placed, giving those who aren't from here access and visibility to where it's being held. "Here arrives our first neighbour pack, The Crescent Manes," Richard spoke as he stepped aside. Richard was an omega, he was also an announcer for events like this. My eyes fell on the men who arrived, the women trailing behind with heads down. Each one of the men, walked in with their backs up straight, like a pole was up their ass. Alpha Henderson and their alpha greeted each other, they spoke quietly to each other before stepping back. The crescent manes separated and began talking to everyone. I noticed the alpha of the crescent manes was heading over to my father. He had short black hair, golden eyes, a few scars on his face, one just above his eye while the other one was on his chin. "Alpha Stephen, lovely to see you again," my father spoke. "You too Dominic. Is this your daughter?" Alpha Stephen asked. Something inside me stirred as I looked at Alpha Stephen, it wasn't a good feeling. I knew my inner wolf was trying to tell me something. "Yes this is my daughter Alison," my father replied. "Nice too meet you Alpha Stephen," I bowed my head. He nodded his head before turning back to my father, I excused myself and headed over to the refreshment table. Filling my cup with water, I watched as Richard announced the next pack to arrive. "May I introduce the Moon Valley pack," He said once again stepping side. I noticed each one of these wolves had tattoos, the alpha had most. I felt my inner wolf bark, I gasped and quickly drank my water and turned around. Closing my eyes gently, I took a deep breath as I connected with my inner wolf Xanthe. "He can't be our mate, can he?" I asked. "He is, I can smell it," Xanthe replied. My mind was cut short, as I heard someone walking next to me. I looked up to see Alpha Alec standing right beside me. "Mate," he whispered. I looked at him completely lost in his eyes, "Mate."
