Mate? Could Alec really be my mate? The Alpha of Moon Valley. The most feared pack in all of America, they were huge and had a lot of resources, not to mention own 10 large pieces of land. I looked him up and down as I stared at his tattooed figure.

My mind was going a million miles an hour, while Alec let out a small chuckle and tilted his head to the side. He seemed amused at my state.

"Was I not what you expected, my dear Alison?" He asked.

I shook my head and composed myself, "No, I'm so sorry. I just never thought I would be chosen to be your mate."

Alec chuckled once more, his soft, round black eyes burning into my soul, "What makes you say that?"

I cleared my throat and looked down, "I don't know if you've heard but I'm half witch, half werewolf. I know lots of packs don't like stronger lunas or girls?" I replied.

Alec shook his head and smirked softly, "My dear," his fingers gently touched the underneath of my chin and pushed it upwards. "Well in the Moon Valley pack we don't mind what you are. Strong or weak, you are considered equal to us. We may have our ranks but we care for each other. I find it sexy that you are a little stronger."

A growl left the back of his throat causing me to giggle, his face lit up a little as he heard it. He gently grasped his right hand with my left, bringing my knuckles to his lips where he kissed them.

"Alpha Alec, why would you want her? She's a nobody, a virgin?" Rebecca asked as she walked over.

Honestly Rebecca already had a mate, her husband Jeremy was really nice and did everything for her. Meanwhile he is willing to cheat on him with anyone she could get her hands and eyes on.

Alec looked over, his eyes went from soft to hard, instantly staring hard at her, "To me she's somebody. I don't care if she hasn't had s*x or any s****l exchanges. Please refrain from speaking about my Luna like that."

Rebecca scoffed, crossing her arms with a humph. I walked with Alec as we left the refreshments only to stop as we noticed my father had began to walk towards us. I could see the excitement shining in his eyes but instantly he bowed his head to Alec in respect.

Alec held out his hand waiting for my father to do the same, "Alpha Alec, welcome. Was it a long trip?" He asked as he shook Alec's awaiting hand.

A small smile appeared on Alec's face, "It was long but definitely worth it." I could feel his eyes on me, making me blush instantly. "I'm also sorry to hear about your wife, we must get these hunters under control."

"Thank you Alpha Alec, yes we do. I think Alpha Henderson is starting to work on a plan, which he will speak to you and Alpha Stephen about later today," My father replied as he kept looking at the two of us, "Also please take care of my daughter if you accept her. She is all I have left."

"Don't you worry Dominic, she is in great hands," Alec replied as he smiled at my father.

I couldn't help but feel my cheeks burn once again. Honestly it was shocking to see how nice Alec was towards my father. I've heard from a few others that Alec wasn't a nice guy and he was mean, maybe he had a good side and bad side.

Maybe he is just a little harder than most Alphas, after all Moon Valley was a known pack. It gave me a sense of calmness that Alec was nice towards me and my father.

"My dear, would you like a dance?" Alec asked as he turned to me, noticing that a few were already dancing.

"Of course," I allowed Alec to escort me onto the dance floor, getting into position we both danced.

"I must say Alison, you look beautiful tonight. The dress really makes your eyes pop," Alec spoke.

The next morning Alec and I had just arrived at his pack house, after the annual ball finished. Their was a meeting like my father had mentioned for the Alpha's, to talk about the hunters and threats that they were starting to face.

I don't really know what they were talking about but my father gave me a few words of what he knew and what to be careful of, I knew that there was people out their who didn't like me or witches for that matter.

It was a 8 hour trip to Moon Valley, honestly had no idea how far it would be from my old home. My old pack, that's if his pack accepts me and him also, it is custom to live with your mate for a few weeks before making a decision if you wanted to become mates and accept the bond or deny it.

I noticed that the members of Moon Valley who had stayed behind were awaiting out front for Alec to arrive back. Stepping out of the black SUV first, he fixed himself up before turning to face me with his hand awaiting for me to grab.

Grabbing it, Alec tightened the grip gently and slowly helped me out of the car, standing next to him, I felt myself becoming shy over the stares.

"Moon Valley, I want you to meet your future Luna. I know it's custom to be with you mate for a few weeks before deciding. But after years of waiting, I knew she would be perfect and she is. So Alison will you become my mate and Luna of Moon Valley?" Alec asked.

At first I was shocked but looking in his eyes, I could tell his words were true, "Yes Alec, I accept your request to become Luna."

Alec gently smiled at me before turning towards his pack once again, "Be nice to Alison."

I couldn't help but blush again at his words, Alec gently wrapped his arm around my back before leading me into his house, which was huge.

From the outside this house looks stylish. It has been built with spruce wood and has blue stone decorations. Small, triangular windows let in plenty of light and have been added to the house in a mostly asymmetric way.

The house is equipped with a modern kitchen and one large bathroom, it also has one small living room and one elegant living room, six bedrooms, an office, a grand dining area, 4 bathrooms and a small storage room.

The second floor is bigger than the first, which creates a stylish overhang around the entire house. This floor has roughly the same style as the floor below.

The roof is low and triangular and is covered with slate shingles. One small chimney pokes out the center of the roof. A few large windows let in just enough light to the rooms below the roof. The house itself is surrounded by grass, a huge tree in the center and bushes.

"I really hope you like it here. Once you are settled, we will do a little test to see how strong you are. Like I said before I don't mind if anyone is strong or weak. We just want to see where you are at with your witch abilites and your werewolf shift and all that," Alec responded as we walked inside his room.

"Do I have somewhere I can write. I've always written in a diary and I want to contuine while I am here?" I asked as I pulled out my diary.

Alec nodded, "Of course, you can write wherever you want. My office is okay as well. I'll even make sure it's placed in a space spot so no one can read it," he replied.

I nodded and crossed over towards him, closing the gap between us. Giving him a small and meaningful hug, his arms wrapped around my body.

"Thank you for allowing me to be your mate and this packs Luna. I will try and do you proud," I was hoping I could do him proud. I wouldn't want him to change his mind, I've heard it hurts more after being bonded to unbonded.

"Thank you for allowing me to be your mate, I know you've head many things about my pack and I'm grateful you didn't run away," Alec replied.

"I couldn't run away even if I tried."

Alec was a out to reply when a knock came at the bedroom door causing him to sigh.

"Come in," Alec responded but didn't pull away from the hug just looked over at the door.

The door opened to reveal a man with shirt brown curly hair, pale skin, pink lips and brown eyes.

"Sorry to interrupt Alpha, but you are needed downstairs. Beta Sonia has spotted something," the man replied.

"Thank you Ryan, please escort Alison downstairs," Alec replied as he kissed the top of my head.

Alec let go of my waist and began to leave the room, not before glancing at Ryan once again. I watched as Alec began to become more distant. I was about to head out of the room as well, when I felt Ryan's hand grip onto my left wrist.

With force he pushed me against the wall, a soft moan left my mouth from the force. My eyes met Ryan's which were filled with anger and hatred towards me. Me? I haven't done anything to him.

Ryan went to strike me, but I quickly stopped him, "What are you doing?"

"You don't deserve to be Alec's mate. Look at you, you are weak," Ryan replied.

I frowned at his words, he hardly knew me or what I was capable of, I grabbed Ryan's wrist again as he was about to strike me once again, bringing my knee up towards him, I managed to kick him away.

A soft growl left my voice, as my eyes began to change to a lightish gold. My fingers began to twril in a sort of motion, I knew that I haven't mastered my pryomancy yet.

If things got out of hand, I would harm him and everyone. I needed to calm down, but him attacking me and for what reason? Ryan's cold green eyes stared at me as he stood his ground, his k9 teeth began to grow.

Causing Xanthe to bark inside, my eyes darkened as I knew I was losing control.

"Not now Alison," Xanthe spoke.

"Don't underestimate me, calling me a freak isn't really nice to say," I replied.

Ryan chuckled but just before he could finish shifting, he was knocked to the ground by someone. I looked to see Alec on top of him, Ryan went to fight back until he saw who it was. His dark blue eyes grew lighter as he saw who it was and terror feard his eyes.

Alec was snarling towards Ryan digging his nails into his shoulder and biting down on his arm. Ryan let out a yelp and whine, staring hard into his eyes, Alec pulled away and stood up.

Two pack members appeared behind him, grabbing Ryan and dragging him away, "Lock him up, I'll deal with him soon."

The two pack members nodded and did what was told, Alec turned towards me, stepping closer, reaching out towards me, his long fingers wrapped around my forearm.

He pulled me into his chest which I gladly took, feeling myself calm down as well as him. His heart rate was slowing down.

"Are you okay?" His chest vibrated against my head.

"Yes, thank you Alec." I didn't know what was going to happen without him here.
