Saturday Morning, I made it extra early in school so that Jared won't get all grumpy and disappointed at me for our very first session! First lesson.
I don't why my heart felt so happy and excited that things might turn out fine and okay. It's just how things work, you know.
He seemed surprise when he saw me. I waved at him and smiled. "Good morning!"
He walked to me and turned his head to the left and to the right. "Don't good morning me. You're not so good to begin with."
My eyes dropped at what he said. "Geez, old geezer. Why so grumpy all the time?"
He turned to me with a killer stare. "Are you saying something? Do you want to cancel the agreement I had with you? Hm?"
"Nothing! Come on!—" I pulled his arms but he jerked them away. "Don't touch me." I frowned looking at him. "It's not like I have HIV or something. Gee."
"Not my point."
Geez. This guy is really hard to deal with. His literally ice cold! One serious guy, I must say. "Fine. Where do we go then?"
He turned to me with the same poker face he wears every day. EVERY —DAY. "Unless you want to learn next to garbage then let's go."
I pouted. This guy takes things seriously — in a really bad king of way. "Gee."
"Of course in the club, stupid. You expect me to teach you without any materials and instruments?"
"Oh. Who knows right? Well I thought, producing would just require creative mind to create new melodies."
He rolled his eyes and started walking. I followed him from behind and kept asking him questions that remained unanswered for him, snobbing them all.
We reached the cudgel house a few minutes later and we were in studio 1. Where he usually works. Some of the members were there too but none of the boys close to him were there. I sat next to him inside the studio awkwardly.
I cleared my throat. I tapped my fingers with my lap. My eyes shook around and around the minimal spaced room.
"Let me see what you've done so far."
I quickly grabbed my special notebook and flipped the page where I made a few ly— "I made some lyrics here. But there's no melody yet. Is that necessary?"
He turned to me.
I shut my mouth. I guess that was a yes then. I handed him the notebook as he started reading my work. My beautiful lyrics.
He turned to me with creased brows. "Are you serious?" He flashed me my notebook and I looked at it. Nothing was wrong with it. Really. I stared at him confused. "What's the matter? Aren't they fantastic?"
He looked down with a heavy sigh. "Are you really into music or you're just messing up with me? Look at it!
"What?"
"LOOK AT IT! Seriously? I jumped in a well? And heard a bell? I can't go to hell? Because I can't even sell? Can you even explain that?! Can you even imagine something that describes that?! Can you even see a story line for that?!"
"What—" I raised a brow thinking what was wrong with it? It rhymed. It had connections. I don't know why it—
"I can't say no. Because I don't know?! My brain is low? And now I'll go? This doesn't make sense! This is not even close to GOOD!"
"What doesn't make sense?! It rhymes!" I said in a duh tone. I rolled my eyes lightly after the exchange of shouts.
"Yes it does rhyme but it makes absolutely no sense! You call this lyrics?! They're trash."
"Wow. Well I want to see you try—"
"Don't even try to question my abilities in producing music. You know very well that the school trusts me with the songs to use for showcases." He said and crouched back. Okay. I forgot that he was a great producer as they described him. But his ATTITUDE. Dang. It's as smelly as a fresh fish.
"So what? Music sounds better with rhymes."
I could see him clench his teeth as he shook his head. I frowned. "This is so wrong. Fine. Do whatever you want. Let's just stop this if you keep insisting on what you think." He stood and my eyes widened grabbing his wrist to stop him from walking away.
"Okay. Okay! Sorry okay? This is why I wanted to learn from you in the first place." I crossed my arms.
"I don't think you get it. You can't just write and write anything that comes from your brain. Anything that's not even relevant to the— to this so-called song of yours. I don't even know what your concept was!"
I looked up and tried to find an answer up the ceiling. "Rh—ymes. Duh." I smirked and looked at him only to see his serious, deadly glare. I shut my mouth close and looked down.
He closed his eyes with a sigh. "This is a non-sense song. You can buy it for .00000000001 cents and it's not even a cost."
"Well I could've made new improved lyrics if you started giving me advices — Mr. Grumpy midget, president."
He rolled his eyes and I did the same gesture then stuck my tongue out to him when his eyes remained closed longer than I did. He sighed. "Okay. For the sake of your light head."
"Geez. Stop acting like you're so perfect. What if you have poop in your pants and pimples in your butt? For I know."
"Go ahead. See for yourself."
I froze. He sounded— he sounded so serious like he really wanted me to do it! I groaned and raised my phone to my ears instantly. "—sleepy! Stop repeating kisses from snow white too! And please, please do change that dark blue beanie. You've been wearing it since like, forever!" I looked at Jared looking at me in disbelief. I stuck my tongue out to him. "Bye!"
"Whatever."
"Whatever too, grumpy midget—"
"Stop calling me—!"
"—SLEEPY! I WAS TALKING TO SLEEPY FROM SNOW WHITE OKAY? NOT YOU. STOP ASSUMING." I looked at him and he looked like he was holding out his anger.
He looked down and I smirked. Grumpy midget that looks cute in his sleep. "Get out."
"Okay. I'm done. Sorry about that."
He looked up to me with droopy eyes and I grinned at him. "Stop that."
"What? Is it bad to grin?"
"Not around me."
"What?! Why do you always make the rules?!" I crossed my arms. He intensely stared at my eyes and I froze.
"First. . ."
"Do something about your experience. You can do either good or bad. It doesn't matter. You'll show it to me next meeting."
"And when's that?"
He gulped. "I'll tell you some other day. I can't tell."
"Okay."
He started walking away and I smiled. Today's was fantastic! I learned so much from him. "Bye! Be careful!"
He did not turn to me but kept walking.
