Chapter Fifteen

It was yet another Monday. I stretched my body with a really deep sigh. Students might have took their rests but all I did was work. Work, and work. It was hassle. I finished my homework for my subjects and they were all just fine. It doesn't really matter how good they are. All I want is study music. Not these subjects. I heavily dragged my feet towards my next class, Literature. Ugly Literature. I hated this subject since elementary and until now, I can't find myself to love this darn boring subjec— My jaws dropped when I saw someone sleeping against the window. It was someone I know and you know. It was Joshua. I walked towards him slowly. I didn't exactly know why I went there but my heart was telling me to. I stared at his face. Geez. His skin looks so soft and smooth. It looks so young and fresh. Ergh. I sound like a vampire craving for human blood right now. I smiled and took the vacant seat next to him. I started bringing my notebooks out since I write all the time during classes. I turned to him and he was still sleeping. Why do I feel like an angel is sitting next to me right now? Geez. My heart can't stay still. When I first met him, I really thought he looked cute and handsome — not that I'm saying it's all wrong but maybe a slight infatuation grew fond of him. Specially the time he played his guitar! Ugh. He looked cool s***h awesome. Okay. I babbled enough about him. I speak so obsessed right now. I feel bad. "Good morning, Mr. King!"   I stood as our teacher rushed to the front room and I quickly tapped Joshua’s shoulder to wake him up. His eyes opened and he immediately stood when he saw us standing up. I chuckled. "Take your seats." We sat down and I kept laughing. Inside my head. Which is right now so—kidding. I was giggling because Joshua looked terribly cute when he was shocked. I turned to him and he was looking at me surprised. I smiled at him. "Hey." I greeted and turned back to Mr. Literature. "I can't. . . I can't actually meet you all today because all teachers were called in the office. I want you to read chapter 6-15 and we'll have a test the next meeting." Mr. Literature walked out of our room and murmurs filled the classroom. Everyone started doing their businesses and such things. I guess there's nothing to do but— I turned to Joshua and opened my mouth. "So—" "Josh!" I turned to the girl who cuddled his arms. My eyes widened and watched them do PDA in front of me. I gulped hard. Okay. So is this his girlfriend or something? I awkwardly turned back to the front. I coughed so I covered my mouth with my palms. "Let's eat lunch together!" My eyes voluntarily turned to peek at them. I just feel so— so-so. And— "Please get your hands off of me, Patricia." I quickly averted my gaze when my eyes Joshua’s. I gulped hard and hastened to avert my gaze. That was embarrassing. I fanned my cheeks because I felt them heat up. Dang. "Josh… Why are you being like this?!" Her voice was in cutesy tone and I don't believe this is her original voice for that matter. I felt so angry. "Julia," I turned with a questioning look and met the girl's eyes. I looked at Ji Soo. "Hm?" I asked. "We're eating together later, right?" "Huh?" Joshua smiled and looked at me. I turned to the girl who was obviously pissed off. He raised his brows and— "Oh. Y-Yeah. You told me yesterday." The girl next to him stood pouting and I sighed. "Thanks." I looked up and saw Joshua leaning towards his chair closer to me. "You're very much welcome." He chuckled. "Why decline her request?" He shrugged. "I don't really like eating with girls. They might start something that's not true. I hate being judged." "Oh." I looked down. "But she obviously likes you." I looked at him again. He chuckled again. "That happens every day." "So you two are classmates the whole day?" He shook his head. "No. During this class, Monday, Wednesday and Fridays only." Lucky her. "Oh." He suddenly laughed. "You said 'Oh' three times already." I frowned. "No I didn't. Only twice." I corrected with a soft chuckle. "Oh." He laughed when he tried to imitate me with the word I uttered twice. I chuckled. "Oh." I laughed. "You're bullying me." He smiled. "If bullying means trying to be close to you then yes." I froze. My mouth started shivering. He— "I'd bully you every day." After the class, Joshua waved walking away and I chuckled when the girl from a while ago stayed next to him. I let out a small laugh and finally turned to walk away. I walked towards the cafeteria and grabbed a tray to put my food in. I fell in line and waited for my turn. The lady dropped me some rice, a chicken wing and a soup veggy. I nodded imagining myself eating the vegetable. I sighed then searched for a vacant seat to sit in. I spotted Armin in the center table of the cafeteria but I decided not to. Just even for this day. He looked pretty happy with the people around him. Sean and Kevin were on their feet as they do hand gestures making the others laugh and I turned only to see Jared eating in a table alone. I grinned and carefully ran to him. I dropped my tray across him and cleared my throat before sitting. His head slowly turned to me. His brows were furrowed and I smiled at him. "What do you think you're doing?" He asked coldly and I frowned. I turned to my back and looked at the back of my chair. "Your names' not written in here? Is this your property?" "No. But—" "Then why ask? I can sit wherever I want." I see him roll his eyes. I smirked a little. "By the way." He looked up to me and stared. "I started a part of a song." He did not reply. I sighed. I scoffed at him and continued to eat my food instead. This guy is a really cold penguin. He needs warm. What to do.   I walked out of my Mathematics class absent mindedly. I was so bothered with what Joshua — he was obviously bringing out flirt lines and, it just doesn't make sense. It's like he knows that I like him! I was surprised when someone turned me around and I quickly stepped back only to find Sean in front of me. "What's wrong with you? You're always not paying any attention to your environment." I stared at him with furrowed brows. "Am I?" "See?!" I jumped a little in fright hearing his high pitch tone of voice. I looked down. I chuckled and looked at him with a frown. "You're always sitting down your chair and nailing all exams even if you're not even listening! How can you do that?!" I looked at him. "Is that supposed to be a compliment or somethi—" He placed his arms around my shoulders and I was shocked. I stared at him smiling and his eyes weren't even visible already. "Of course it was a compliment." I rolled my eyes lightly and we started walking. "So, how are things with Jarri?" Jared? Jared. Right. I shrugged. "Still as dragonic as he already possess." He smirked. "I love the way you say that. Sounds so fierce." I let out a chuckle. "Are you sure he's a good and nice person? You told me before right?" "Yes but we get to see him smile and laugh timidly. He usually does that a lot when audiences are around. He doesn't want to show his tiger side but truth be told, ones you see his cutesy smile, you may never find sleep again." "That's really exaggerati—" Then I remembered. The time he looked up to me, in a mascot, and he smiled. He looked definitely cute and it was nearly unbelievable. "You're lucky if you'd see him smile. He smiles once in a blue moon and believe me, the rest has something to do with him being the lion king of the club." "Really?" I spaced out. He nodded. "You know, he's weird. When something funny happens before, he laughs so hard then turns serious again!" He paused exclaiming. "We all know that he doesn't want to show his soft side so we're trying to understand him because as the president, he needs to take all the responsibility and take care of the club." That's a lot of responsibility. "There's this one time. Sed stole his phone and since he's so clumsy in keeping the pattern of his phone, he unlocked it and he passed two pictures of him." "Pictures? You mean, like n-nud—" "No!" He exclaimed and I immediately shut my mouth. What a dirty mind, Julia. Practice that. "We laughed because Sed, already the mean, childish type of a guy he is, he posted it on line. Everyone on the school saw it!" He quickly moved his hand to his pocket and flashed me phone. There was no password so he was quick. "Here. Look." I was surprised when I saw his close — I mean really really really close up picture. How cute! It looked really cute. His eyes looked so small but round. His face was really clean and I don't know. "Wow." I mumbled. I was so mesmerized by how close it was! It was really close! "And this." He flipped the photo and it was a picture of him in a face mask and it still looked cute no matter what. "He knew about it and he scolded Sed. He yelled at him and forced him to delete the post. But it was too late, a lot of students who found him really cute too, already saved it and it started spreading." "I would do that." He smiled. "You'll understand him once you start appreciating his personality. He's really not bad especially when we're together as a team. During practices and such events. He's cool. Which is why girls tends to like him because of how mysterious he is." "I know right." "So you already—?" "What?! No!" I scoffed and creased my brows. Seriously? Ugh. How frustrating does that sound?! Sean laughed. Maybe he's too lonely? Maybe he needs to be more attached to something that he might care about — to make him lively and not boring.
