"HEYYYYY!"
I rolled my eyes and fixed myself for the last time. "Coming!" I yelled. Armin kept yelling and it was irritating since it was still too early. "Why did I have to live life with you?" I whispered and turned the knob.
"Can't you do things faster?! I'm already late for my first class!" He shouted the moment I stepped out of my room.
I scoffed and he rolled his eyes.
"Kidding. Come on! Let's go!" He smiled and pulled me with him.
I hurriedly locked the door to my apartment as we headed downstairs. "You have a checkup today. Don't forget."
"No I don't." I creased my brows lying. This guy must've scanned my bag again and saw the schedule my doctor gave me.
"Ha. You think I don't know?" He leaned closer to me and I stepped back. His brown eyes were adorable but I'm not saying I like him, 'kay? I just think it looked good on him. That's it. "You didn't even went last week!"
I pressed my lips together. "That—"
"You know you need to meet your doctor, Julia. Why do you have to be so naughty about this."
I rolled my eyes and stepped farther away from him. "Why do you have to be so caring? Geez." I said not looking back to him.
He ran next to me and I frowned. "Because you're my sister."
I smirked. "Fine. Whatever, Dad." I emphasized and he laughed ruffling my hair. "Geez! I finished my hair for a good thirty minutes! Stop ruining it!"
He laughed again. "Why? Want to be pretty in front of Jared?" He wiggled his brows at me and I frowned inner.
"Seriously? This is why I hate going to school with you!"
"Okay. Okay. I'll stop. Pfff—!" He covered his mouth and I crossed my arms starting to walk again.
I finished my paper for English class so I had no problem. No other assignments. Mr. Racquel was the serious type teacher but he was good. Only my other classmates say he came from the seminary and was a priest before. I mean, what's so wrong with that? That'd be better right?
I sat down the usual chair I sit in every time I have this class. I started scanning my notebook and admired how nice my penmanship was. I have to admit, my hand writing was never good when I was in elementary. It sucke— "Hi."
I turned immediately and saw Belle smiling at me. "Hello." I smiled back as she took the seat next to mine. I didn't know I had a class with her. Or maybe I just didn't care about my surroundings.
"You don't mind me sitting next to you right?" She giggled and I felt my classmates’ eyes on me— I mean, us.
I shook my head with a smile. "No I don't. It's a pleasure." I added and she chuckled.
"So, you and the music club boys."
I stared at her with a questioning look.
"You seem adjusted with them. You seem very comfortable with them. So did them. They don't usually open officer elections, you know? Just this year."
"Oh. Well, I mean, they're really fun to be with, I guess." I looked down scratching my head. I was really disturbed by how the students watched us talk.
"Good morning, everyone."
We stood and greeted Mr. Racquel. Today, he discussed about poets from William Shakespeare and other well-known writers in the west side of the world.
The bell rang telling students it was time for the next class. I stepped out of the room and stopped when someone grabbed my arms. It was Yumi. "What's the matter?" I asked and she smiled.
"I wanna tell you something."
I stared at her confused. About what?
"Meet me at 3? In our SSG building." She smiled and finally walked away. I shrugged and started walking as well.
Today's research class was usual. We were said to pass Investigatory Project titles until tomorrow and it got me stressed out. I noticed two of my classmates from the club but I wasn't close to them so I didn't know if I should approach them or not. Maybe not.
I went to my Literature class next and I was surprised when I saw Joshua there again. He looked at me then smiled.
I blushed. I awkwardly searched for another vacant seat except next to him and sat next to a really noisy guy sitting over his table. I gulped hard. "Wooooah! Today's the day we—!"
Okay. I can't survive the loudness of this— I stood and forcedly sat next to Joshua. I hear him chuckle. "At least you changed your mind." I heard him say and I looked at him arching a brow. Really.
"Class. Really. With you. Again?"
He chuckled then looked at me with his girly eyes. "I wasn't supposed to be here yesterday. I forgot. I got absent for my English class."
I held my laughter and looked at him. "Are you serious?"
He nodded. "Yeah. I knew I didn't had the same Literature class with Patricia for Monday. I really forgot."
I chuckled. "Good for you." I said sarcastically and he laughed.
"So, why not sit with me a while ago? Why go further?" He suddenly asked and I fidget my fingers. Dang. I gulped hard.
"I wanted to try other seats?" My other eye grew wide. What a weird answer.
"You wanted to try other seats?"
I nodded with a fake smile and pressed my lips together. "I guess not." My lips twitched and he chuckled.
"Look."
I turned to him and he was now facing me from the side. His eyes. They were something in a good way. I couldn't explain. His small face that was close to mine.
"I— I don't know how to say this but tomorrow, it's my sister's birthday and I was thinking if you could— you know, come?"
My eyes widened. My heart was going crazy. I know I sound assuming if I'd say he was asking me out but that sounded more like that, really!
"I mean—! Of course I invited all the members in our club. I just wanted to inform you." He added and I frowned. Of course I didn't show that frown. Only in my head.
"Y-Yeah. Sure! I'll try to ask my aunt if I could go."
He smiled. "Terrific." He turned back to the front and I rolled my eyes lightly. What was I thinking? Why would he go and ask out a girl like me. Hmp.
During lunch, I was with Armin and the others. Specifically Sean, Kevin, and who am I kidding, everyone in the club except Jared.
After taking lunch for thirty ten minutes, I ran to Qualiteas for my shift. Mrs. Langdon was kind enough to add a bonus to my salary and I was really happy.
I was rushing back to the campus. I ran to my Math class and fixed myself before I entered the room. They already started. All eyes were on me including— Jared?
He eyed me then back to his arm chair. I sighed. "Why are you always late in my class Ms. Burton?"
I looked down.
"She's going to the club."
I eyed the one who said that and she quickly shut her mouth. I was hurt. Club. Is earning money for a living done in a club? I creased my brows.
"Go take your seat. Next time, I won't let it pass."
I bowed and sat down. I was feeling so down after hearing that. I was really dismayed. The thought of me having A1AD made me feel sick. I couldn't concentrate.
After the class, I was surprised when Jared stopped in front of me. "Show me an article about the improvement of our club. The CEO wants us to pass it to the Publication for the monthly school paper."
I just nodded.
"Julia!"
I turned and saw Belle running towards me. She stopped. I looked at Jared staring at her. Then back to Belle. Okay. Creepy.
"Hey, Jared." She waved and smiled at him.
Jared turned and walked away. What a creature. But I didn't have the energy to tell him. I was too stressed out.
"Anyway, I decided to meet you instead. I asked Sean what your last class is." She winked and I nodded lightly with a smile.
"Let's go?"
I nodded as she clung her arms around mine and we started walking.
We reached a very decent restaurant. There was about only three costumers and I was shocked because a tea costed far too much.
"So. . ." She started as we sat across each other.
My phone suddenly beeped. "Excuse me for a sec." I raised my pointer for a wait sigh. It was from Armin.
From: Armpit
Heyyy! Wait for ya in the library. jarri said you went out with a friend. Be here by five.
I rolled my eyes and locked my phone. I turned back to Belle, waiting for me and she opened up her mouth. "I've been keeping this for a very long time and I just want to open this up."
I waited for her to speak again and she looked down.
"It's Armin."
My eyes widened. I suddenly had all the energy again. I don't know. Maybe I felt too happy for what I think it may be.
"I like him."
Butterflies started to build up in my stomach. I was so happy. I didn't know why. Maybe because I thought they'd be perfect together before.
"I've been liking him for about three years by now and— I don't know. He doesn't seem to notice me at all."
"I'm sure he does." I said and she smiled.
"I hope so because I really really really like him. I really do. I don't want other guys, I just want to be with him. Does that make me sound so desperate or something?" Her eyes got small and I chuckled.
"No." I lied. Of course she sounded desperate. In a very cute way. "Maybe a little."
"Ugh." She landed her palms over her cheeks and I laughed. "What will I do?"
"I'll help you. I'll try to ask him."
"Oh my God! Really?!" She exclaimed and I chuckled again. She really does like him. I nodded and she held my hands. Wow. They were ice cold and sweaty. "Thank you so much!"
I smiled and nodded. "No prob."
If he even cares for girls. For I know, he treats us like scum bags.
