Prologue- Graham's wish
Reagan Myrick looked at the body in the coffin, she was still numb. It had been 4 days since Graham had taken his last labored breath and slipped from her life forever. Graham Myrick, the man who met her at the Rio Olympics and convinced her to marry him 4 months later. It was a whirlwind romance and Reagan had thought it was always their own fairy tale. But now she felt numb and empty, she hadn't slept in their bed since Graham got sick, instead opting to sleep in his big recliner and falling asleep to old reruns of Cops and Friends. Graham's mother stood beside Reagan, quietly stoic. Denise Myrick knew her share of heartbreak, but this was even too much for her. Denise had told Reagan at the hospital that no matter what happened,Reagan always had a seat and a bed at her house. Reagan was seriously thinking about it,she broke down everytime she went by Graham's computer,or his fishing equipment that never made it to the shop.
Reagan thought about what Graham had said to her on that last day. She never wanted to fulfill his wishes, she wanted to curl in a fetal position and forget about the world. Graham told her that he wanted her to have adventures, and to eventually find love again. Reagan didn't even know where to begin, how do you find love when you have buried yours?
