REBORN.
A young woman stepped forward, the portal's shimmering veil enveloped her, promising a new realm beyond. But before she could take another step, a thunderous voice boomed, shaking the very foundations of the portal.
"You have lived as a human, suffered as a mortal," the voice declared. "But now, your resilience will be rewarded. Be reborn as a xiān Zî, a Maiden of unparalleled beauty and power."
The young woman's eyes widened as she felt an energy coursing through her veins, transforming her very essence.
"Yet, your journey is not complete," the voice warned. "To enjoy your new life among the immortals, you must first conquer the Tempest of Trials. The storm rages fiercely, testing your resolve and strength."
"I will not be deterred," she declared, her voice firm.
The voice replied, "Then let the storm reveal your true potential. Will you emerge triumphant, or will the winds of fate scatter your spirit? The choice is yours, Xiān Zǐ."
With that, the portal's energy surged, propelling her into the heart of the tempest.
The young woman stepped into the portal and was reborn as a fairy maiden. She grew into a very beautiful and strong lady, she was named Yíng Yìlán.
Yíng Yìlán, the Fairy Maiden, stood tall, she marveled at her own beauty. Her skin glowed with an ethereal sheen, and her white long hair flowed like silk in the gentle breeze. Her grey eyes sparkled with an inner light, reflecting her elegance.

Yìlán glides through the garden, tending to the blossoming flowers and plants as she giggles, they communicated with her and she understood them.
A set of maidens approached, her superiors. Yìlán saw them and tried to avoid them, but yu mìng called out to her.
"Yìlán! Stop!"
Yìlán halted, she turned around with a small smile. "Yu mìng, Meng yao, greetings."
Meng yao scoffed, "She even called us by our names." Folding her arms.
A stern voice cut through the air. "Yíng Yìlán , how dare you neglect to acknowledge your seniors properly!" Yu ming, stepped forward, her face stern too.
Yíng Yìlán sighed and hastily attempted to bow, but her movements were awkward, lacking the finesse expected of a fairy maiden.
Yu ming expression darkened. "You think because you're beautiful, you can stop showing proper deference?" She sneered, her voice dripping with condescension. "You're still just a novice, after all."
The other senior fairy chimed in, her voice a cacophony of criticism and disdain. "What a joke. Your mentor did a terrible job, obviously."
Yíng Yìlán felt her face flush with embarrassment and frustration.
But as the seniors' words turned cruel, their intent shifting from correction to bullying, Yíng Yìlan's demeanor changed. A spark of defiance ignited within her, and she raised her hands, palms outward.
To the surprise of everyone, including herself, a burst of radiant energy erupted from her hands, repelling the senior fairies. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers, and the sound of gentle chimes echoed through the forest garden.
The seniors stumbled backward, their faces shocked and wary. Yu Ming's eyes narrowed. "You possess the Qián Huī power... How is this possible? You're not supposed to have such strength!"
Yíng Yìlán immediately took to her heels for fear of retaliation, after all she was still new to her powers. Her mentor, who groomed and watched her spiritual orb blossom into what she is now, was still helping her harness her inner energy.
Madame Ling watched Yìlán run into their abode, looking back as if she was being followed. She smiled and shook her head, holding a wooden spatula, she moved quietly to where Yìlán stood.
Hitting her wrist with the spatula, Yìlán flinched and turned as she rubbed the spot. "What did you do now?" Madame ling asked.
"Nothing." Yìlán tried to walk away, but madame Lìng blocked her path. She tried another attempt, but her mentor blocked her again. "Yu ming and meng yao was picking on me, i swear i didn't mean to use the Qiàn huī on them, it just happened." Yìlán ranted.
Madame lìng's eyes widened in excitement. "You used the qian hui?" She asked, but her smile disappeared. "No, that's not the point. You've been warned not to disrespect your seniors." She pretended to scold her.
"But..."
"No buts, always ignore their criticism. Be a proper maiden Yìlán!" She yelled. Then dropped the wooden spatula and pulled Yìlán into her bed chamber. "Tell me how it happened. I mean, how did you activate the qian hui?"
"Mentor."
"Shut up. I mean, speak."
"I really don't know, i got angry and frustrated. I just wanted them to leave me alone."
"Then?"
"I angrily waved my hand, they stumbled and fell."
Madame Lìng smiled, her disciple now had access to qiàn huī. Only a first ranked fairy maiden could easily use it, the second ranked maidens still have to struggle for it.
'It's only a matter of time, before they come for you.'
She thought.
Madame Ling's expression turned serious, she looked bothered. Then she jerked when she remembered she was cooking, "You damn girl, my meal!" She yelled.
Yìlán chuckled.
In the quiet hours of dawn, Madame Líng sat in her chambers, surrounded by wisps of incense smoke and the soft glow of lanterns. Suddenly, a figure materialized before her, his presence announced by the faint scent of sandalwood.
The man was tall, with piercing eyes and an aura of authority. Madame Líng's expression transformed from serenity to reverence as she bowed. "Master shin, your presence honors me."
Master shin's gaze was piercing. "Madame Líng, the time has come to prepare Yíng Yìlán for her destiny. The threads of fate are weaving together, and she must be ready."
Madame Líng nodded, her hands clasped together. "I have been training her, Master. But her potential is vast."
Master shin nodded. "Yes, the Qián Huī power within her is strong. But she must learn to harness it, to wield it with precision and heart. The trials ahead will test her resolve, her courage, and her wisdom."
Madame Líng's eyes narrowed. "I know what destiny awaits Yíng Yìlán, she will be ready before the next fall." Madame Líng's determination hardened. "I will ensure she is prepared, Master."
Master shin nodded, and a subtle smile played on his lips. "The heavens are pleased, it's time the xiān Zî have the significance they've lacked for centuries."
Master shin vanished as suddenly as he appeared, leaving Madame Líng back in the dimly lit room. She sat in contemplative silence, her mind reeling with the weight of Master shin's words.
A sense of pride and honor swelled within her. She had groomed Yíng Yìlán, nurtured her growth, and now the young fairy maiden stood at the threshold of a great destiny. Madame Líng's eyes shone with a mix of emotions – pride, hope, and a hint of trepidation.
"Yíng Yìlán," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "You are destined for greatness, but the path ahead will be difficult. Can you truly surpass my expectations and fulfill your destiny?"
Madame Líng's thoughts were a jumble of anticipation and concern. She knew that Yíng Yìlán possessed incredible potential, but the road to greatness was fraught with challenges. Would her protégée be able to harness the Qián Huī power, navigate the shifting balance of the realms, and emerge triumphant?
Despite her doubts, Madame Líng's determination remained unwavering. She would guide Yíng Yìlán with every ounce of her knowledge and experience, ensuring the young fairy maiden was prepared to face whatever lay ahead. The fate of the realm might depend on it.

The next winter fall was upon them, Yìlán knew it was time for her mentor to send her away, out to find her path in the human world. A place she was familiar with, it had been her previous life before the heavens granted her a second chance as a fairy maiden.
Madame Líng stood beside Yíng Yìlán at the forest border, the autumn leaves crunching beneath their feet. The air was crisp, carrying the whispers of ancient trees and the promise of change.
"It's time, Yíng Yìlán," Madame Líng said, her voice gentle yet firm. "Your destiny awaits."
Yíng Yìlan's eyes shone with reluctance, her gaze lingering on Madame Líng's familiar face. "But, Madame... I don't want to leave you. I'm not ready."
Madame Líng's expression softened, her eyes filled with warmth and understanding. "You will never be fully ready, Yíng Yìlán. But you have within you the spark of the Qián Huī power. Trust in yourself, trust in your training, and trust in the path that lies ahead."
Yíng Yìlán's lips trembled as she nodded, her determination growing. Madame Líng smiled, her hands reaching out to gently adjust Yíng Yìlan's cloak.
"Remember the lessons I've taught you," Madame Líng said, her voice filled with a mix of nostalgia and hope.
With one final glance, Madame Líng bid Yíng Yìlán farewell, her words hanging in the air like a benediction. Yìlán took a deep breath, squared her shoulders, and walked into the human world.
Madame Líng watched her go, a sense of pride and trepidation mingling in her heart. She knew the path ahead would be fraught with danger, but she also knew that Yìlán possessed the potential to change the course of destiny.
As Yìlán strolled through the bustling marketplace of Tiān Yuè Empire, her eyes sparkled with delight. The vibrant stalls overflowed with an array of exotic goods – silks, jade, porcelain, and rare spices. The air was filled with the sounds of merchants hawking their wares, the clinking of coins, and the hum of lively chatter.
Yìlàn's fingers trailed over the intricate carvings on a jade pendants, and she couldn't resist purchasing it. Next, she fell in love with a delicate porcelain cup, adorned with golden filigree. The vendor smiled, wrapping it carefully for her.
As she continued shopping, Yìlán purchases grew more extravagant. She bought embroidered silk robes, rare tea leaves, and precious gemstones. The vendors, sensing her enthusiasm, offered her the finest quality goods, and she happily obliged.
Her path was littered with discarded wrappers and delighted vendors, each one thanking her profusely for her patronage. Yìlán laughed, feeling carefree and joyful, fitting them into her little cross bag which was telegraphed by magic.
As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the market, As Yìlán approached the castle gates, she noticed a commotion near the entrance. A chief guard, stern-faced and imposing, stood at the forefront, scrutinizing a line of young maids and servants. They were all dressed in humble attire, their eyes cast downward in a mixture of nervousness and deference.
Intrigued, Yìlán wandered over to join the queue. The chief guard's gaze flicked toward her, his expression momentarily taken aback by her ethereal beauty.
"Ah, another candidate for the imperial service?" he asked, his voice firm but curious.
Yìlán smiled as she nodded, her eyes sparkling with amusement, the chief guard raised an eyebrow. Yìlán shrugged, her smile never wavering. She fell into line, her presence drawing subtle glances from the other candidates. As they waited, they whispered among themselves, speculating about the mysterious beauty offering to be a maid.
When it was her turn, the chief guard's gaze narrowed. "Name?"
"Yíng Yìlán," she replied, her voice melodious.
"What a beautiful name for a beautiful girl." One of the guards mumbled.
The guard's expression remained stoic, but a flicker of curiosity danced in his eyes. "Purpose for applying?"
Yìlàn's smile grew wider. "I'm not sure. I just thought it might be... interesting."
The chief guard's eyebrow arched higher, but he continued with the questioning, intrigued by the enigmatic lady. "What a beautiful idiot." He muttered.
Yìlán heard him but ignored him, she was told her destiny lies in the castle, but she didn't know exactly what it was. So she waited patiently to be selected, and she was indeed selected. Now the wheels of fate begins to spin.
