How long had he been out? He had no idea how much time had passed. He had been moved into a room with silver walls. He had tried to break through, but he was still weak from all the silver and wolfsbane they had injected him with. Thor was alive but very weak. They were lucky to be alive. They had stopped injecting him when he was moved in here. He stood up pacing around his cell. He heard the familiar sound of footsteps. They stopped outside his door. A small slot was opened, and a tray of food was pushed in. At least he now got to eat food. He needed to get out of here. He needed Sky. She may be pregnant! He felt his heartache at the thought of missing the birth of his pup. He had to find a way out of here and back to Sky.

The day passed slowly. She had tried to keep herself calm. Daphne and Evan had been hovering around her all day. She had remembered seeing a change of clothes in the closet that belonged to a cook. On an extra-long trip to the bathroom, she had climbed out the window, climbed down, and grabbed the clothes from where she had stashed them in the bushes. She had held them in her teeth as she climbed back up the drainpipe into her bathroom. Daphne was banging on the door, pleading with her to open it. She hid the rope ladder behind the cleaning supplies under the sink, before splashing her face with water and pinching her cheeks to look like she had been crying. She reached for the doorknob just as she heard the key being inserted into the lock. She took a step back as the lock clicked and the door opened revealing a very worried Daphne.
“Oh Sky, come here,” Daphne hugged Sky to her. “It will be ok. We will find him.”
Sky felt the guilt rise like a bubble in her stomach. She felt bad hiding this from all of them but, after last time, she knew none of them would let her try. As the afternoon faded to night, Sky was restless. She waited until just before midnight telling everyone she was going to bed. She lay in her bed to hear the silence before getting up and heading into the bathroom. She thought through the day. She had marked off spots with markers after they had been searched. There was still no trace of Caleb. She grew surer she was making the right choice. He couldn’t have just vanished!
She changed into clothes she had stolen from the cook’s closet. She had hoped they would help mask her scent. Listening one last time, everything seemed quiet. She could hear the guards talking quietly, their muffled voices the only sound. She opened the window, looking down for any signs of the night patrol. She pulled her hair up into a bun before stuffing a hat on her head. She glanced around the room one last time before placing a hand on her stomach. “Ok little one, let’s go get your Daddy back.” With that she sat down on the windowsill swinging her legs out first. She stood up flattening herself against the wall as she slid against the stone exterior. The ledge she was standing on did not leave room for her to walk. Sliding her hand over, she was relieved to feel the drainpipe. She held on to it before setting her foot on top of a bracket used to secure it to the building. She began climbing down. When she reached the ground, she darted across the lawn to a nearby tree. She looked around for anyone who may have seen her. When she felt it was clear, she darted to the tree line, she had stashed a bag in the hole inside a huge old oak tree. She reached in grabbing it before stripping off her clothes and shifting.
“I can sense Thor.” Aria could feel the relief wash over them. “He is weak but, he is alive.” Aria turned and took off full speed in the direction of Mirror Lake.
“Aria, be careful, our pup.” Sky reminded her.
“Our pup is strong. She will be fine.”
“She?” Sky asked excitedly. “We are having a daughter?”
“Yes,” Aria replied. “A very powerful and special daughter.”
With Aria’s speed and determination, they reached the lake faster than they had before. Aria walked to the edge of the water. She whimpered as only her reflection looked back. She took a few steps into the water. She felt tears sting her eyes as nothing changed. As her tears fell into the water, the ripples they made began swirling faster and faster. Aria’s heart soared as Thor came into focus. His stunning green eyes stared back at her. Aria looked up at the moon. ‘Please Goddess of the Moon, please show me where he is. I have to save him. My daughter and I need him. Please,’ She silently asked the Moon Goddess.
Gazing back into the water, Aria watched in amazement as Caleb appeared. He seemed to be in some sort of silver cell. He looked so sad. The ripples began to swirl again, faster they swirled. This time the image was of an old factory building. A sign read Crimson Pack House. A packhouse?
“WHAT!” Alpha Dean roared, shaking the walls. “How can she be gone?”
Gideon was speechless. Daphne stepped forward. “Alpha, I have known Sky since birth. She is strong, determined, and will do what she deems necessary. I know I have not become an official pack member yet but, I am Gideon’s mate. I have watched Gideon in action since Caleb’s disappearance, Gideon and Dash are excellent leaders. It is not their fault Sky has disappeared. She is unstoppable when she feels something has to be done.”
Cherub was watching Dean’s expression spoke, “Dean, Sky has to be smart, strong, and determined since she is Caleb’s mate. If she wasn’t all of those things, she wouldn’t be his mate.” She gently took his hand and began rubbing circles with her thumb on top of it, soothing the enraged Alpha.
“I suppose you are right. My son would not have a weak mate.” He let out an exasperated sigh, “We have to find them both.”
“Alpha,” Evan began, “I am going to go scout the area, as Sky’s future alpha until she joins your pack, I can still mind linking her. I am going to try and reach her. Either one of us can still link Daphne.”
“You go, Daphne will stay with Gideon until Sky is found. This way, you can share what you find with us.” Alpha Dean seemed to have calmed a bit. “Everyone, back to finding my son and his mate NOW!”
