Rolling over onto Tate’s side of the bed, Kelly’s eyes flashed open. Instead of rolling into her mate’s warm embrace, she had been met with cool sheets. Listening carefully to see if she could hear him puttering around in the bathroom, she shook her head in disappointment. He had already slipped out, unnoticed, leaving her alone. Sitting up and pulling the sheets up to cover herself, she glanced around the still dark room, a frown tugging at her lips. What time was it? Groaning, she leaned over the edge of the bed and picked up her phone. It was just after six in the morning. With another groan, she laid back down and stared at the dark ceiling.
