Anu’s Ziggurat Temple “They seem to be talking to each one of the monsters to look for the blood souls, and amazingly enough, the monster parade is still in a trance,” Enki muttered with great interest, as he stared at the two men going through the crowd carefully. “That is amazing, brother. I have to say, these humans seem to be smarter than most species — especially, that delicious young man, Thaleos.” Irkalla responded while eyeing the beast tamer in deep want. Enki merely rolled his eyes at his sister and continued watching the team through his small cube.   The Night Parade Scene: 10 Minutes Earlier “Alright, so here’s the plan.” Thaleos initiated. Kedrick, Haya, and Ygritte all stared at him intently, as they were getting used to the concentrated mana on their feet. “Since James was obsessed with this scene, he stated in one of his journal entries about one little secret that Enki let slipped.” The beast tamer muttered while scratching his beard and staring at the crowd of monsters. “Damn, this is spicy. Spill the tea.” Kedrick joked in a hushed tone, slightly lightening up the spirits of everybody, aside from Thaleos. The frowning man’s face implied that what he was about to say wasn’t good news. “Enki was obsessed with experiments about time. James mentioned that these creatures are already dead,” The beast tamer had to pause for a bit because of the look on everyone’s faces. It shifted from shock to sadness to anger. After a couple of seconds, he continued, “They’re just alive because they’re placed in a small infinity. That’s why they look move-in repeated intervals, they’re only moving in 3-minute increments.” He divulged, this shocked everyone even further. “That’s…” Ygritte started, she had tears in her eyes, accompanied by deep rage, “That’s absolutely terrible.” She finished feeling defeated. As she was thinking about it, she knew that the gods could do whatever they want regardless of what they feel. Kedrick and Haya echoed her sentiment and also expressed their anger. “So, Ygritte, can you do 2 kills at the same time?” Thaleos asked the young woman. She nodded her head in affirmation and mentioned, “Yep, but I need to be in deep concentration, this means that I also need to be in a safe place.” Thaleos nodded his head and instructed Kedrick to stay with her and activate his Healing Sphere, to keep up her stamina and health. “Once you’ve activated your Ancient Incantation skill to maintain their trance-like movement, you can then activate your Summon the Undead skill to control their movements.” Thaleos laid down the plan. Since the guild of creatures were technically both dead and alive placed them in the category of the undead. Ygritte nodded her head in understanding, and they proceeded to split up. Ygritte and Kedrick stayed in the place where they first landed, and the two other men were already stealthily traversing towards the parade. Once Thaleos and Haya were a couple of meters away from the crowd, Ygritte started her incantation, “Usa nganu, usa nganu, Usa nganu ki dumunashe, Usa kulu ki dumunashe. Igi badbadani u kunib.” When they saw that one of the banshees was awakening from her daydream, Ygritte started murmuring the other half of the incantation — which had a stronger effect than the first half, “Igi gunani shuzu shuzu ngarbi. U eme za malilikani Za maallili u nagule.” The banshee immediately returned back to its trance-like state and started drinking her pint of ice-cold beer. This calmed down the berserker and beast tamer’s thumping hearts. As soon as the spell was fully activated, they knew that they had about 5 minutes before the spell wore off. Ygritte had to take breaks in between to recover her used-up mana. Once Haya and Thaleos got close enough to the parade, Ygritte activated the Summon the Undead skill. Unlike the first spell that had an instant effect, this spell takes a bit more time and needs to be targeted at certain undead bodies. The beast tamer closed his eyes and focused on his mana senses, and Haya followed suit. They were trying to find the unique blood souls among the crowd of creatures that were almost near to 50. Since everyone was making a lot of noise, it took them a couple of seconds longer to actually focus. Once they’ve accessed their mana cores and focused on scoping the area, they finally found two unique blood soul. Thaleos headed straight to the front of the crowd and Haya went to the back. As Thaleos saw the purple mother wisp, he knew that she had one of the red balls. He signaled something towards Ygritte’s direction, and as soon as the young druid saw the gesture, she immediately shot the loaded skill into the wisp’s head. The wisp mother swiftly closed its eyes, almost as if asleep, but still continued floating. Ygritte rapidly activated the spell again for Haya’s target. The beast tamer went behind her and started slowly digging through her ghost-like body, looking for the mana core. Since the ghost was merely floating, it was quite manageable for Thaleos to go through her smoke-like organs. Haya, on the other hand, spotted one of the deer gods just chewing on some tobacco. Its intimidating presence immediately caught his attention and knew that it had one of the blood souls. The berserker also signaled the same gesture towards Ygritte’s direction, which pushed the young druid to attack the deer god using the same shooting technique. The deer seemed to be fighting the spell but gradually closed its eyes as well. This gave Haya the chance to find its mana core. It was slightly harder for the berserker to look for its blood soul, but Ygritte managed to control the deer’s body to make it lay down. “You doing good, Ygritte?” Kedrick asked as he saw the young woman slowly turning pale, the young druid just raised her eyebrows to answer yes since she was having a hard time nodding her head. The umber man’s eyes widened in shock when he saw the young woman bleeding from her nose. Just as he was about to stop her from doing the spells, she just gave him a side look telling him I got this. Kedrick hesitated but decided to trust Ygritte. He merely focused on his healing sphere and tried forcing most of the healing power where the young druid was. The young woman felt herself healing faster, she gave him a look filled with gratitude and went back to the task at hand. The priest and beast tamer felt guilty in removing the blood souls of the monsters, but their hands were tied. Thaleos was the first one to successfully get the blood soul out of the wisp mother. Haya took a couple of minutes more before finally finding where the unique red ball was. They both stared at the glowing marbles and they had different a different shade of red. The deer god’s blood soul was nearing maroon and the wisp mother’s was near to rust. After getting the unique marbles out, they quietly ran towards where the druid and priest were. The spell was about to run out and they knew that the monster would be back to their normal selves. Once reaching the location, they saw how Ygritte was struggling with maintaining the two spells at the same time. Thaleos immediately ran towards her side and worriedly probed, “Ygritte, if you can’t take it anymore, it’s more than enough.” The woman just gave him a small smile and weakly muttered, “It’s alright. I can take one more. I needed to know what my actual limits were anyway.” The three men tried protesting but eventually agreed since the young woman was pretty adamant in doing the spells. They knew Ygritte to be the over achiever, from academic, sports, music, and painting. She always pushed herself to the limit, just to mold the best version of herself. This inspired the three men to continuously do the same. “Okay, if we somehow win this, then that’s great for us. But I highly doubt it, because we all know how this game is rigged.” Haya lilted and then stayed with the priest and druid. As soon as the druid rested enough to cast another incantation spell, Thaleos quietly marched back to the parade. Ygritte started with chanting the incantation and once it was set, she then activated the Summon the Undead Skill. Thaleos quietly looked around the parade and tried hard finding the last blood soul. He closed his eyes and focused on finding the creature that has the most unique soul. Upon reaching the soul, he saw that it was something similar to an angel. Although, it had this fairy like look with it — it had pointy ears, high cheek bones, and glowing gold skin. It seemed to be neither a female or male, it was just quietly levitating on the ground while its long white rob almost touched the water’s surface. It was a breathtaking sight. After staring at it for a couple of second more, it suddenly opened its eyes.
